For one they are polytheist, the belief in, or woship of more then one god. They both make sacrifices to these gods, and they both got run over by other groups of people. These three points are the connection between Atala and Odyssey. In Atala the Native Americans worshiped more than one god, and they are very closely related to the Greek gods.

One of the most famous gods in Greek Literature. The author suggests us that he is respected, and admired by others. Although Janus’s life as a mortal appears to have been short lived, it appears that his transition into a god resulted in nothing less than a continuation of his goodness. Janus’s transition into an immortal deity is seldom discussed, however it is widely held that Janus was originally the god of heaven and of the sun, as well as the god of springs and rivers, before he took on his ultimate and most commonly held title. As the god of heaven, Janus served as the doorkeeper and made sure that heaven’s gates were opened every morning and closed every night. Although such titles as the god of heaven and the sun should not be rendered unimportant, it should be emphasized that Janus, as a god, is most commonly known for his role as the god of new beginnings and passageways, and it is under this title that the remainder of this essay will be conducted.

Rick wrote the book, because he ran out of Greek mythology stories to tell his son Haley who is diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia similar to the main character Percy Jackson. The book is about a 12 year old boy named Percy Jackson, who found out that his father is the Greek god Poseidon.

Zeus was the father of all the Greek gods and goddesses. Legend has it that Zeus would throw a thunderbolt from Mount Olympus, where the Greek gods and goddesses were said to be, at a rustic spot in Greece. Also, the Games were an attractive means of getting men fit. Another factor in the traditional Greek view was that the gods championed a winner, so by creating a competition aimed at producing supreme winners, they declare the power and influence on humans of the highest god, Zeus.
