Personalized Nutrition and Exercise Plan Mary J House University of Phoenix Sci 241 September 5, 2012 Eating right and getting the proper amount of physical activity each day can be a lot harder to do than it seems. It is though entirely possible to eat right and have a good exercise regimen. It just takes having the tools and the willpower to put it into action and stick to it. I know that to be healthy I need to change the way I eat and get more exercise, and I now have the knowledge to do so. I now just need to muster up the courage and willpower to make some healthy changes to my diet and exercise routines.
It’s known as diet and exercise; you hear it all the time when talking about weight loss. It is really simple to blame the food industry on why so many more people are obese today, but what you eat is your decision and healthy food is available to everyone who is interested in eating healthy. Sometimes people have a hard time fitting a workout into their busy schedule. You can procrastinate a simple workout all you want, but it doesn’t take a lot to take the stairs instead of the elevator, take a fifteen minute walk every night, or to play an active game with your family. Instead of video games, encourage your children to play outside when it is warm and get them to have an active lifestyle.
As long as schools, and officials follow the guidelines required by the NSLP (National School Lunch Program) which was updated August 2012, they will continue to be funded. We tell children that the most important meal of the day is breakfast; well in actuality everything you eat is important to your body. Eating healthier foods gives us strength, and energy. A lack of energy can cause children to become lazy and slack off in school which leads to poor grades. Also an unhealthy body has a greater chance of getting sick versus a healthy body which can affect attendance in school.

They’re books, articles and websites teaching you or giving you advice on how to start or things you should do doing your exercise plan and diet plan as well. The real question is, out of all these resources which one really does work best with keeping you in shape and healthy? The person I chose to interview was on the “Weight Watchers Diet” He liked weight watchers because your lifestyle of living changes into a healthy one and you lose the weight.
Fruit is good for our bowels and would help the children go to the toilet regularly, this would prevent constipation. Finishing off with a yogurt would be continuing to fill your body with the calcium and vitamins you need each day to help your body stay healthy and keep your bones develop stronger. So, in order to maintain lifelong wellness, we have to maintain all of these dimensions of health. Physical health is the ability to perform the normal activities of daily living (Hales 4). For example, my daily walking is a form of physical fitness that will create better physical health; this helps build up my muscles and allows my blood to run smooth through my body. Also, walking creates weight loss that will improve my overall health. People with good physical health will have a lower chance of getting sick because the physical health in their body will help build up the immune system to help protect them from sickness.
Parents are the ultimate authority when it comes down to what their children eat. Of course they can’t all always see what their children eat, but if they teach them healthy eating habits they’re less likely to go for the wrong food choice. (junk food) “encourage these kinds of simple polices in the home, they might make some progress against the purveyors of fat food and cholesterol.” (Wientraub paragraph 6) Parents tell their children what to eat from birth they might as well teach them healthy eating habits. Exercise should be an essential part of life. Parents should teach their children good exercise habits as well.
Being overweight is not a dead end and living healthy is still an option for those who think there is no hope and Jenny Craig and Nutrisystem take it upon themselves to try to help individuals that are having weight management problems. Changes occur every day in life and choosing how to manage and overcome those changes are solely up to the individual that wants to make a change for the good and having a system in place to help shed the unwanted weight and creating a healthier lifestyle will put you on the right path to make things right. Many people believe that all you really have to do is exercise in order to burn off the calories that have been consumed throughout the day. However, it’s not that simple since there are other factors to consider. These foods that these children eat are not healthy and don’t have the nutrients that are needed for growing kids. Trying to exercise the calories away won’t do much since they already have a poor diet. They increase their levels of sugar, sodium and fats.
The foods we are eating every day contribute to our health. Foods provide us with the nutrients we need for healthy bodies and the calories we need for energy. If we eat too much, however, the extra food turns to fat and is stored in our bodies. If we overeat regularly, we gain weight, and if we continue to gain weight, we may become obese.
