Neglect by others – not provided with proper living aids, poor living condition such as no food, no warmth, left alone, deprive of medications denial of the individual basic care pressure sores. 1.2Indentify the signs and/or symptoms associated with each type of abuse Some signs and/or symptoms are: Physical abuse the sign are marks visible impressions such as scars, bruised, fractures, pressure sores, burns, symmetrical grip marks, unexplained hair loss, weight loss, sprains or dislocations.

Signs and Symptoms: Open wounds/ sores on the body can indicate lack of proper care in cases of an individual who’s bedridden. Welt marks that could be a result of brushes, belts, and extension cords. Bruises, welts or actual rope burns near the wrists or ankles could indicate that they were restraints.
