P1 Explain the role of effective communication and interpersonal interaction in health and social care context Effective communication is a conversation where no one gets confused by the other persons meaning. The first thing you need to do to ensure effective communication is to use key words. The second thing is to ask clarifying question that try to find out the other persons true meaning. An effective communication can also mean a conversation in which two people both enjoy the conversation and learn something. Effective communication in the health and social care sitting is very important as it allows the health care workers, perform their rules effectively allowing them to work alongside their colleagues whilst developing supportive friends with the users of the service who come from different types of background ect.... Good communication with service users encourages participation in activities therefore promoting equality within the care setting. The service user can gain the trust and understanding from the care worker and therefore communicate the needs that individual requires. Good communication amongst staff encourages a better working relationship and ensures all tasks are completed to a high standard. Good communication between staff members is important to ensure problems are picked up and solved quickly. Such as an elderly service user having a preference to a bath rather than shower, the service user can then communicate this information effectively to staff and pass this information on to their colleagues.
The production of the facility has to flourish for the cost of the hospital to be in the black and not the red. The cost of the daily procedures should not exceed the profit from the facility. As a leader, or any type employee, you should always be aware of the structure of the management in the facility you are working. Things you need to know are who are the leaders of the facility? With this knowledge I plan to work toward a more cost effective and delivery system with healthcare provided to the patient population. In building a stronger healthcare system it will not only be profitable, but will also provide better care to all the patient population. As a registered nurse (RN), I have learned that I need to stay flexible and be able to adjust and adapt to the constant change that comes along in my profession. Also as an RN, I look at the healthcare profession as a revolving door, which constantly spins out new concepts, methods, and approaches. I think this will help prepare me for a management position in my field because it is imperative for a manager in this profession to have the ability to adapt, adjust and welcome new ideas and concepts directed to him or her.
This person is unique and autonomous, and should be treated as such. The second concept, Health, should be looking at an individual's mental, physical, and social well-being. I believe health is determined by environmental factors, genetic factors, lifestyle factors, and external factors, such as bacteria and pathogens. All these factors determine at what point they are at on the health spectrum. A person’s health could be changed by the environment or how comfortable that patient is in their current surroundings, therefore for a patient’s health to improve they need a stable and productive environment, and must be happy as a patient.
This also allows them to think ahead of time and save time and effort. Communication Skills is very important because it’s the ability to get across to the customer by answering their questions and help them out as much as u can wit as much information and make them feel comfortable and have no problem come back to see you anytime. Professionalism in the health field is to be loyal to a set of values comprising a formally agreed upon code of conduct and the informal expectations of colleagues, clients and society. Every professional on that team has different roles to play in providing that standard of care. These roles range from CNA to nurse to physician, with many other interdisciplinary roles as well, like paramedic, respiratory therapist, or social worker. Each person has distinct expertise and skills to contribute that can be applied to the patient’s care. Organization and cooperation must be integrated into the team to ensure that needs of the patient are adequately met.
