H. B. Fuller is morally responsible for the addiction of the street children to the Resistol Product because according to the rights theory it suggests that the consumers and society have a right to a safe product so then H. B. Fuller had a duty and a right to provide a safe product. The product when used correctly was "safe" however the firm failed to effectively educate persons the proper use of the product. The firm based on reason not to exit the market which applies to the Utilitarian Theory. Fuller has no control over how its products are used. If however Fuller is aware that its products are addictive to street children, it could as a morally conscientious company attempt to better educate regarding harmful effects of misuse of products and especially to the countries that are in high rate in poverty. H.B Fuller insisted that Honduras and Guatemala are ultimately responsible for the misuse of their products in the Social conditions. Fuller stated that the solvent-based adhesive serves rightful uses in shoes and leather; but are misused by children to get high. There are a large number of lawful chemicals that can be misused by addicts for example gasoline, medications, and alcohol, but this does not mean that they should be banned for our purposes. It is unreasonable to require a corporation to restrict genuine uses to prevent misuse and it is not fair to consumers who will pay the price for either higher substitutes or additives measured by manufacturers. Even if it takes these measures it would not change the basics that lead to addiction. If we talk about the children who were affected by the habit of sniffing the glue, children can understand what is right and wrong and that they are the part of the company. We also know that Fuller had poor social conditions in Honduras and Guatemala more than likely are the major contributing factor towards this type
