Gucci advertisement Gucci’s advertisements have a sole intent of provoking the upper class citizens to purchase their products which include shoes and handbags as well. The ad which is shown clearly involves a female and male. The setting of the advertisement and type of clothes being worn do not really have a sense of elegance and charm to them, but more of an extravagance and glamour. The lady on the far right has the image of a slim, blonde and beach tanned woman. The body language of this woman appears to be in an awkward but sexually provocative position as she sits on a pool bench. Her legs are both cropped out just above the knee and she appears to the audience stretched out and lying supine as if on a bed. The Apparel that the man is wearing do not appear to be suitable for wet weather activities but by placing the man inside the pool the creators of this advertisement are able to associate with the typical woman desire of a fit, masculine and damp man who has just left the swimming pool. Swimming as a fully clothed individual in this advertisement emphasises to the readers that the brand is savage and spontaneous it appeals to the side that they wish was within them. After closer examination the viewers are able to see both the characters with their eyes shut. Generally when human’s eyes are closed they appeal to their other senses such as touch, hear, sound and sense and every so often associate with intimacy, such as kissing with your eyes closed.
