It guides them to make the correct ethical decisions in life fulfilling their role as Christians. Ethics is the decision between right and wrong influenced heavily by beliefs and responsibilities of an adherent. Through the Bible, teachings by Jesus through parables such as the ‘Good Samaritan’ educate them on the way they should behave in everyday situations. In this parable, a man is neglected by a priest and a Levite but is helped by a Samaritan, a person who was disliked in that time. It shows Christians that they should help everyone who is in need, leaving no one behind.
James 1:19 (KJV) says, “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.” Taking the correct actions when listening will allow me to mend broken relationship due to lack of communication or listening skills. A good course of action to improving communication and listening skills will help in my future career in the human service
Everything that we do is all through the communication between God and humanity, and humanity as a whole. When we communicate with others, we are sharing our emotions, our stories, and who we are, so we can all be understood. To meet that one special person, who knows everything about you, who takes your heart into their hands, and vice versa, you learn to love that other human being that God has blessed you with to have in your life. You learn about each other, you both know what makes you happy and sad, and you both feel accepted by each other despite all of the flaws you may seem to have. Trust is a gift from God, which he gave to humans, so that we can learn to trust people, and our significant other, especially during hard times.
He is able to get his message about faith across without uttering a word. This is exactly how the Vatican II council wanted its laity to act. Tebow acts in the here and now, which is the nature of faith. He focuses on his actions that are going on now in the hopes of positively effecting others. Believe it or not, winning games as an underdog makes a lot of people happy.
He wants the reader to know that every person has a purpose, and they are on Earth to accomplish it. Hopkins reflects his faith in his work, telling his readers that God has put everyone on this earth for a
I really like his outlook on God given talents. He feels that God gave us theses talents we have to glorify him, therefore we should use them as God intended us too. This book helped me grow as a Christian. Just seeing the examples he set for others is one thing that made me realize I needed to do in my own life. Whither I realize it or not people are always watching me.
It seemed as if I was experiencing hell at one place and time in my life, I needed someone or something to become a safety net, a resting place, a sign of hope. I found God through all the craziness in my past and I found him to be everything I need. It seems as if I can count on him more than anyone in my life from him restoring me mind body and soul. He is the most important person in my life, he rescued me when I couldn’t hang on he told me to hold on. I believe that if he didn’t come when he did, I would literally be lost and because of him showing and making me feel that I am somebody, through compassion and overwhelming love I wouldn’t have achieved and conquered the things that I have
He never went around proclaiming how great he was or what everyone else needed to do, he just told everyone what he believed. And this cause that he believed in inspired others to believe in the same cause and they made it their own. He got his values from his faith. His faith commanded him to love everyone. He adopted a nonviolent approach and was willing to defy laws created by man that he felt were inconsistent with the laws of a higher authority.
I believe this to be relevant in every single person’s life. Similarly, my pastor taught me indirectly about the bible which influenced my religious beliefs. At a young age, I struggled with the confusion of what to believe in and was caught up in mischief. As a result, many adults tried to intervene about my ill behavior, but none of them actually took the time to truly help me change my ways. Luckily, my pastor just happened to have an enormous amount of determination and decided to never give up on me.
The Bible says that we are chosen by God and given a purpose. According to 1 Peter 2:9. It is important that we see ourselves the way God sees us and then live in obedience to Him. God knows who we really are. He loves us and created us for a purpose.
