Rohan Misra English 52 Professor LoveJoy Definition Essay In school, teachers have been known to treat students based on their performance and behavior in the classroom setting, and most of the time a student is typically labeled either a good student, or a bad one, not so much in the middle. The student either does well in his or hers academics or does poorly in class, or you have your typical average student, but for the most part your determined by of the two stereotypes on how much effort it is your putting in to achieve in your academic success. Although sure enough you will also be treated as such based on your behavior as well, and based on my past experiences growing up in school, I was treated no different. Growing up in school when you’re a kid, from pre- school all the way to grade school they prepped you on how to be a good student, and from what I remembered in grade school was that when u did good you would get awarded for your behavior, or if you were doing poorly or being a trouble maker you were usually punished and were sent on some sort of form of time out for your bad behavior, all the way till end of high school they enforced these rules so…show more content…
I can relate to the “bad student”, and it wasn’t a good feeling knowing that you were treated as such. But there’s always hope, you just have to believe in yourself and that’s when you start noticing some changes in your life. It wasn’t until I reached my 2nd year of college that I had to make a drastic change in my habits. All these years of being a bad student finally clicked with me. There came a point in my life where if I wasn’t doing anything for myself, than I would I see myself being locked up or homeless in the future and I wasn’t going to let that happen to myself, and if I wanted to become successful in pursuing my education than I would have to become that “good
