Decision making with your employees will let them gain respect for the leader and become more determined. This style will bring strength between you and your employees. Laissez-Faire-This style is used when the leader is lazy or distracted, it’s more of a you do what you want style. This style can be used when the team is highly capable and motivated, it’s when the team doesn’t need close monitoring or supervision. This style can cause failure when the leader expects the group to make the decision between themselves when they are un sure about what they need to achieve and how they need to accomplish the task.
M2- Self awareness is the ability to know myself, my abilities, limitation and what is my personality is like. Self awareness is a very important tool to have as it helps me to be conscious of my limits and areas for further development. It is hard to do this with a friend because we may not want the friend to know who we really are. Before we can professionally help others as counsellors, we need to be self aware. This is because of the nature of the role of counsellors.
A sense of humor appears irrelevant but sometimes a little joke with the team can go a long way. What is your personal philosophy of leadership? The leader must be part of the team he or she is leading. Leaders have to listen to the team’s opinions and ideas and analyze the situation prior to make any decision because the leader’s decisions affect the entire team as well as each of the team members. The leader must always think about the most good for the most people while still working toward a common goal.
I know the degree per say is not a “magic formula”, but it does help when going for work to show the employer that you are a little more serious about the position and that you have that advantage over entry level . You can be more confident going in for that position and having the knowledge to understand what you are doing. I believe that I possess qualities that are unique to me such
I discovered that being in a leadership position, other's expectations of me are higher. Consequently, I expect more of myself. I find that to be a good leader I have to first be a good follower. As a fledgling LET 1*, I learned the art of following well. Answers are not uttered with the simplicity of "yeah" or "ok", but “sir yes sir" and “sir never sir".
In the public services, these types of leaderships will be used within different circumstances, authoritarian is best in urgent situations but laissez-faire is better for those who are experts and know exactly what they are doing and don't depend on a leader, they are similar because they both focus on the task in hand but one is directed every step by a demanding leader, sometimes, authoritarian could be bad style to use as it could make the other team members feel under pressure and lack motivation but leading in a laissez-faire manner will make the members feel more important because they have freedom to work the way they feel best. If there was to be a car accident, authoritarian would be a better approach because whether it was ambulance, police or fire, they will need to get the victims to hospital and road cleared as quickly as possible but it'd take longer if the team didn't know what their roles were and what they were
The rhetorical triangle was used when distinguishing between the audience, the issue, and the speaker. In the triangle, the speaker usually found ways to make himself sound credible and trustworthy. The speaker also strived to show their credibility by making an impression on an audience. In order to accomplish this, the speaker must be familiar with his audience and make the appropriate appeals to that audience to get their attention. This was important because without the interest of the audience, the point you were trying to get across was nearly useless.
Although not extremely appealing, it contains worthwhile information surrounding the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the nation’s history. The arguments were persuasive and well researched. The authors know what they are doing and make sure this is observable in all aspects of their writing. As such, this is a rather effective book in the argument for the separation of church and state. I could find it hard to accept other staff members values and beliefs, and feel mine are the right ones. 2.1. Constructive feedback gives people the chance to develop within there role if its needed. If the feedback is good then the person will feel good and confident, but could take offence to constructive feedback. In my setting we have regular supervision with the team leader who will give constructive and good feedback.
