Carbon dioxide is a heat trapping greenhouse gas. It gets “released through human activities such as deforestation and burning fossil fuels, as well as natural processes such as respiration and volcanic eruptions” (Global Climate Change: Key Indicators, 2014). An increase in carbon dioxide means more heat is trapped thereby raising the Earth’s temperature. Global surface temperature needs to also be monitored. Not just one area but globally!

One major threat is that coral reefs are under huge stress due to the impact that human activities are having and in fact already 1/5 of the world’s coral reefs are so damaged that they are beyond repair. The increase of average global temperatures is leading to an increased rate of ice cap melting. This is due to global warming, making a global threat to all ecosystems including the coral reef. The reason for this is that the melting of the ice caps releases more fresh water into the oceans, reducing salinity making sea level rise. Due to sea level rising coral reefs are getting destroyed, as they cannot survive in water above 25m.

Global Warming!! Global Warming is the increase of the average temperature on Earth. As the Earth is getting hotter, disasters like hurricanes, droughts and floods are getting more frequent. Global warming is very heart breaking and is becoming a serious problem in a negative way. It needs to come to the end and the only ones that can stop this epidemic is “us”.
Volcanoes (all of them, and some new ones!) will pour out huge lava flows, along with poisonous gases and choking ash. Climates will change instantly, and the geography of the globe will be radically altered. If the pole shift is less than a full 180 degrees, the polar icecaps will melt rapidly, raising sea levels, while new icecaps will begin to build. A large numbers of organisms, including much of the human race, will be decimated or even become extinct, with signs of their existence hidden under thick layers of sediment and debris, or at the bottom of newly established seas.
Over the years we have seen the change grow rapidly. Firstly the greenhouse gas emissions are the main cause of climate change. The five following gasses contribute to the greenhouse gas effect: Water Vapor, Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Methane, Nitrous Oxide, and Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). Water Vapor is the most rich greenhouse gas. It increases as the Earth’s atmosphere warms which makes it the most feedback mechanisms to the green house effect.
