Glasses or Contact Lenses?

There are two known ways to help people with poor vision. It’s either to wear eye glasses or to wear contact lenses. However, before a person decides, there are three important things to consider: the convenience, the cost and the appearance of the two. Glasses are easier to wear than contact lenses. You just have to put it on and take it off. It’s much more convenient to wear. Aside from that, glasses are also easier to clean and safer to use because it has no risk of causing eye infections. Lenses are different. It takes much care and time when putting it on. It is hard to clean, needs varying degree of care and it has a lot of maintenance to do. When wearing it, it touches the eye so it has a chance of damaging it. Glasses are more expensive than lenses. You still have to pay for the frame aside from the lens. And the price of the frame would still vary depending on its style and brand, though it is expensive, it can still be repaired when broken and it can last for years so it has a good quality. Unlike the contacts that need to be continually replaced. What goes with the fashionable trend today? Glasses. It comes in different looks and the kind of glasses you wear shows what kind of person you are. Lenses, on the other hand, won’t alter your personal appearance. It will let people see your eyes and it may change your eye color but it is not as fashionable as glasses are. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages. And they are both useful in aiding your poor vision. For me, glasses are much better to use at my age- that’s also what my doctor told me. (I am wearing glasses now). And others may prefer lenses over glasses, depending on the preference of the user. But what matters is that you’ll use them for your ease and give them the proper care that they
