Learn to drive a stick shift “If you do not drive a stick shift, you have no right to live in California.” I lived in California, but I did not drive a stick shift. I did not realize how bad it is until the day I bought my first car. I used to drive my uncle’s automatic Mazda RX8. When I went to the dealer with my friends, I naturally thought I should get an automatic. I stopped at a brand new silver BMW 128i, staring at it.
The use of Ford’s name first began after the T-model first came out. “All crosses had their tops cut and became T’s” (Huxley 134). Ford was sought to have founded the greatest gift in history, the automobile, and the people of the brave new society looked p to him for that very reason. The citizens saw Ford as a great father figure, and not necessarily worshipped him, but his accomplishments. There are many times in the novel when Huxley replaces Ford with Freud, which is also a major symbolic figure.
Henry Ford once said, “I will build a motorcar for the masses…constructed of the best materials, by the best men to be hired, after the simplest designs that modern engineering can devise…so low in price that no man making a good salary will be unable to own one and enjoy with his family the blessing of hours of pleasure in God’s great open spaces.” Firstly, Henry Ford created new technology that nobody has ever seen before. Secondly, Henry Ford created the model T that was the first car ever to be created. Thirdly, Henry Ford was the first man that created the assembly line. Henry Ford changed the way we look at transportation forever this is why he should have a memorial built in his honour. Henry Ford created new technology that nobody has ever seen before.
Name: Shaneice Campbell Date: 5/12/14 Homeroom: Orange Washington D.C. Term Paper Washington D.C. overall was the best school trip I have ever been on. The city surprised me because I expected it to be super fancy and have fancy houses, but it looked just like New York and Downtown Hartford when we first arrived. When I was touring D.C., I liked looking at buildings and how professional people looked. At some points, I though their were too much people for me and I never really liked too much people at one place but I actually liked the people because they were very nice and alot of people took selfies with me.
Erdich writes, “We went places in that car, me and Henry.” (394). When they bought the car, the brothers drove all summer, bonding more as brothers and friends. With the car being in good condition it allowed the boys to make all the trips they did and allowed them to make great

After four years in one of the best Catholic high schools in Venezuela, where more to go than to the best Catholic University? I am sure that graduating from Saint Thomas will help me accomplish my goals, and that is why my goal right now is to attend UST! Saint Thomas has an excellent Engineering Cooperative Program. With its agreements with Texas A&M University, the University of Houston and the University of Notre Dame students earn a BA degree from the university and a BS degree from the institution. And with this program’s 100% acceptance rate one cannot help but feel that the Saint Thomas really cares about giving its students the best opportunities.
For the car dealer, as far as economic outcome, I feel what matters most is that they made a good profit from their customer, in other words, they got the money (Curhan, Elfenbein, & Xu, 2006). At the same time, as far as social psychological outcome, what matters most to the car dealer is that I, as their customer, am leaving happy; it lets them know they provided good customer service. For me it is a social psychological outcome. So, to me, what matters most is knowing that I got a good deal for the car I chose; along with good customer service and knowing and feeling confident I did the right thing. For the co-signer, I feel it is also a social psychological outcome.
College Connect has done great things for my family and I; it motivated me to apply for scholarships, inspired me to do well in school and most importantly, to dream big. As a first generation student, my parents and I had no idea about SAT’s, college applications, scholarships, etc.I had no idea what the whole process was like. However, due to the support and help that College Connect offered me, I have successfully been accepted to a four year college. For me the most helpful thing about College Connect is the fact that students can go into their office whenever a question arises. Everyone at College Connect is always supportive towards whatever the student is concerned about.
