At the beginning,   it should be explained what happened in Taksim Gezi Park and how these protests and meetings started. In the context of Taksim Square restoration project, Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the replacement of Taksim Gezi Park by a shopping mall. The bulldozers started invading the area at late hours of night in May 27,2013. Consequently, civilians occupied the area to stop destruction. Due to the government’s increasing pressure and the severe violent actions taken by police, the occupation quickly turned into a giant protest with the attendance of thousands of people. Conservative members of Turkish parliament made statement but all were negative and provocative. It goes without saying that there are many consequences of Taksim Gezi Park protests.

    The first consequence of Gezi Park protests is related to international reaction. Well-esteemed people who are academics and also activists had voiced their concerns about the excessive usage of police force. For instance, twitter founder Jack Dorsey supported Turkish people by the retweets in his twitter account. He might be informed of Gezi Park protests by civilians that they let the others know this action by twitter or facebook. Other individual to disapprove of the violence against protesters is linguist Naom Chamsky. He described this violence and also pressure by the government ‘the most shameful moments of Turkish history’. Moreover, the states and supranationals accompany with the protesters. The European Commission condemned all excessive use of force by police against anti-government protesters. However; Turkish prime minister take steps towards reconciliation unwillingly. ‘The images from Taksim square are disturbing’ is the comment for Gezi Park protests by the government of Germany.
