Genetically Modified Food can be accepted Nowadays, with technology’s developing, more and more Genetically Modified (GM) Foods are produced and come out in many markets around the world. However, there are a great number of people who think the GM foods are dangerous and may do harm to their health. Therefore, they can’t accept GM foods. Unfortunately, I believe that GM foods are available in our lives because they have never been proven to harm people so far, they are more nutritious than traditional foods somewhat and they also can benefit farmers a lot for their working procedures actually. Professor Ian Campbell from Australia's Peter MacCallum Cancer Center says that no scientific evidence showing that GM food is harmful to people's health has been presented to date.
It is simple really they can open their own chicken coop. By doing this they will be able to keep their cost of poultry down and ultimately make more profit. Another benefit to Chick-fil-A opening their own chicken coop is that they would be better able to control the avian flu. The avian flu is spread through contaminated water and dirty living conditions. By keeping the chickens living conditions in immaculate condition they can better control this disease.
The amount of death did not stop the Spaniards from taking advantage of the fertile land for the crops and livestock they brought over. Once imported, they proved to grow well in even uncultivated land with the clear waters and varieties of climate that were beneficial for growing plentiful fruits, vegetables and cereals, both native and Spanish, which grew in abundance. Foreign products that had never been grown outside the Americas such as maize, potatoes and various others were taken to Europe, where they became stable foods. Cheap and plentiful, maize provided food for poor lower-class workers so that employment would not hinder from starvation. Even the stalks and husk were
The article “Hemp-could save America” (2011) states that some of hemp’s agricultural benefits especially for American farmers are that hemp can be grown without any herbicides, fungicides, or pesticides. Hemp is weed and pest resistant and also improves the soil in crop rotation. This makes hemp more cost efficient and safer to cultivate. According to the article “Hemp-could save America” (2011) the hemp fiber can be used to make almost all the paper products used in the US. Hemp paper does not yellow
Vegetables have very good nutrients so when picking vegetables one should choose a variety of colors to get a variety of nutrients. Vegetables Lower blood pressure; reduced risk of heart disease, stroke, and probably some cancers; lower risk of eye and digestive problems; and a mellowing effect on blood sugar that can help keep appetite in check. Last but not least is my grain intake. My grain intake is the equivalent to 5.4 ounces and my recommended amount of grain intake is 6 ounces. I need a little more grain consumption to meet my recommended amount.
I believe that gm foods are GOOD and can benefit all of us. There are a lot of reason that gm food is beneficial, one reason gm foods are beneficial is that,Genetically modified foods can be highly beneficial, particularly when offered at low prices to impoverished areas. Plants can be made to be both drought-resistant and high yield, which is invaluable in areas that are arid and have few resources other than their arable land. Unfortunately, even seeds of genetically modified fruits and vegetables tend to be more expensive than their unaltered counterparts.Another reason is that,Genetically modified foods are beneficial if they are produced to improve human nutrition and access to food. For example if a given food can be modified to be grown in a new environment, farmers would be able to grow, eat and sell the genetically modified food.
Foods that are grown organically have shown to be beneficial for our bodies and are not combined with chemicals which dilute their effectiveness. Nature is a way of life, something that is not to be manipulated or changed. Organic farmers are an excellent example of people who decided to work with nature, rather than against it. Purchasing food that is grown locally and without the use of GMOs, we can preserve the business/es that still choose to grow their food the natural way while also increasing our lifespan and overall
The environment is better because they do business by using resources and materials that will not ruin the planets ecosystem. Shopping at whole foods does not just get you groceries but, it gives you education on food choices, community support and better overall environment.
Bio-diesel is a relatively easy to produce, and low cost fuel. By using farm grown soy beans and processing them, it requires less effort than diesel. “Biodiesel may be used in any diesel automotive engine in its pure form or blended with petroleum-based diesel. No modifications are required, and the result is a less-expensive, renewable, clean-burning fuel” (Helmenstine). This fuel could easily replace diesel fuel with ample product availability.
Genetically Engineered Foods Food is the esscence of life and without it, life would fail to exist; however, the wrong nature of food can lead to the same fatal outcome. Foods that are genetically engineered are based on the premise that foods are made better for humans in many different ways (Eschholz and Rosa 537). Using the latest technology, scientists are able to create crops that are more productive to feed the ever growing population or by introducing new traits into already existing foods to make them overall better; it is easy to see why many people would think that this new technology is just another improvement in everyday lives. When modifying the food, scientists take a gene from one species and insert it into a new species to enhance desired traits such as resistance to herbicides or to provide more nutritional results. This way of improving foods has been taking place traditionally by just crossing two plants together and hoping that the new traits are taken without any negative ones (543).
