Gabrielle Venegas Jeff Price ENC 1101-31926 10/08/12 Jobs and School A lot of people know what I mean when I say it is difficult being a full time student and a part time employee. It is not easy trying to balance it out when it’s like having two jobs; College takes a lot of work and focus, let alone being full time. Your free time goes out the window, so it’s hard seeing friends or even having time for yourself. And being a full time student and part time employee can cause unhealthy habits like not enough sleep or bad food choices. Quite a few people understand and know how difficult it is. When you are a full time student it takes all of your focus and a lot of work. In class you have so many notes and so many things to do while you are there. In college, professors do not care if you fall behind so you have to pay attention in class and make sure you have everything you need written down, like notes, test information, questions, and upcoming events. As a full time student you are not only doing work at school but outside of school also. Homework is never a simple hour thing especially when you are juggling four or more classes. Each class really wants you to be involved so each class gives you about an hour or two of work to do outside of school. Once you’re home you now have at least four hours of work to do plus your job. Personally it sucks rushing home from school every other day to hurry and try to at least do half the work before heading to my job then the rest after I am off. Not very often would a professor ever not give you a lot of work to do once you leave your school. And it doesn’t have to be just the work but also all of the studying you have to do to keep up with your classes. When you spend all your time at work or at school you never have time for anything else. After being at school all morning and afternoon
