French food is well made and beautifully prepared. I think out of all the types of food, French food has the best reputation and name for itself. This is because, the French cuisine is seen as art and is made to be good on the inside and out. French food is a great thing to eat and is often different than American food. At high level French restaurants, you may have some hors d'œuvres such as Escargot Beignet or foie gras. Your entree could be Fillet Mignon ala Bordelaise or Poulet Chasseur. Some foods you may find at a French fast food restaurant are the same as the food in an American restaurant. McDonalds, Subway, Burger King and KFC can all be found in France. Burgers and sandwiches are often found at French fast food restaurants. Street vendors though, sell foods that are different from in America. Street vendors in France sell kebabs, not shish-kebabs, but kebabs that are made of shaved meat in a bread roll topped with onions, lettuce, sometimes shaved carrot, tomatoes and a variety of sauces. You can also add cheese. They also sell crepes, and French, French fries with mayonnaise or ketchup. Some food that the French are famous for are, crepes, truffles, fruit tarts, brie cheese, and many more. A recipe for Caramel Custard, a French dessert, is to have 75g of caster sugar for the caramel, 2 tablespoons of caster sugar for the custard, 2 whole eggs plus 2 egg yolks, 1 pint of whole milk, and 1 vanilla pod. The cooking instructions are, to preheat your oven to gas mark 5 or 190 degrees C, melt the sugar to make the caramel in a pan, heat till goes brown and runny, pour equal amounts into 6 ramekins, to form the base, add the vanilla pod to the milk and bring to the boil, add the sugar for the custard to the eggs, egg yolks and whisk, while still whisking gently add the hot milk, mix together, pour equal amounts into each ramekin, place the ramekins into a
