Homicide paper and Bernhardt “Bernie” Tiede The case of Bernhardt “Bernie” Tiede is very well known for its excellent and humorous film adaptation and also for Bernie’s unusual character and peaceful life, which clashes with a murder and life sentence. Bernie Tiede was a loved former mortician and funeral director in Carthage, Texas, which is located in the state of East Texas. Bernie lives his everyday life, when suddenly, thanks to his jobs, Mrs. Marjorie “Marge” Nugent, a wealthy 81 years-old Carthage widow, formed an attachment to Bernie and opened him door to new lifestyle. It was not a relationship, rather a symbiotic friendship. Other citizens of Carthage hated old Mrs. Nugent, due to her bad temper and Bernie was a very sympathetic man with an inexhaustible patience.
Good Will Hunting is an astounding movie that adjusts ones perspective on life and the lives of others around us almost immediately. From the very beginning it captures you’re your attention by grabbing ahold of many emotions. It is a story focused on the life of a brilliant young man named William Hunting. William Hunting is not someone who knows Professor Lambeau or someone who attends the daily lectures of M.I.T, but is someone who spends his life, his career for that matter, cleaning the halls of this institution. Will has more skills than what it takes to clean hallways and bathroom stalls, in fact he is a pure genius and is the person who completely solved the problem mentioned in the quote above.
Dill was the only child of his parents. He came every summer to Maycomb, Alabama from Meridian, Mississippi to be with his Aunt Rachel. The first time he met Jem and Scout he seemed to be very confident young boy at only the age of seven. “Hey I’m Charles Baker Harris, people call me Dill…I can read.”(pg.8) Showing that at the age he is, he is not afraid of meeting new people, or brag about anything he’s good at doing. “How old are you four, said Jem…goin’ on seven actually.”(Page 8) Charles shows confidence in that, if anyone has anything smart to say about him, that he always has a good comeback to throw back at them.
For my research paper I chose to focus on Lil Wayne. I admire him because he is hard working and he has gone through a lot to achieve his American dream and he never gave up on it. Lil Wayne's American dream was to have a better life for himself and move his family out of the ghetto. He had been trying to do that since he was young and then he finally got discovered at the age of 13 by Birdman who was a well-known local producer. He took Lil Wayne to the top and even though he had to drop out of high school it was wroth it because he is now worth over 24 Million dollars.
Living in poverty, in his early childhood he initially joined a local gang; fortunately, a good friend persuaded him to quit the gang. Lewis said there is little to no drop off between the first team and second team, saying the competition for a starting spot has only made him and the rest of the linebackers better.really no difference, Lewis said. One of us needs a break or gets hurt, the other guys are very capable of coming in and doing the job. Winter learned the triangle while playing for Sam Barry at USC in the 1940s then spent decades tweaking it. The system focused on sharing
He also makes a friend serving in the Vietnam War and talks about starting a shrimp boat company. He sticks to his word and becomes a millionaire off of his company. Forrest believes that no matter what happens to you in your life you have to stick through it. You never know how life is going to happen, but you just have to roll with the punches. Now sometimes we are just born into a bad situation.
Rico’s team was down by one point and they only needed 20 more yards to make a touchdown and win the game. His team had huddled up, using their last time-out. He called out one of their special but hardest plays. He had faith in his team and knew they would be able to win the game considering how much effort they had put into their practices. “Break!” was all I heard.
I feel that if I believe in something so much and pray for it every day and also work at it every day, it will come true no matter how slim my chance is. Most people decide to give up when they think the little possible chance is impossible. Well, not me; if there is a will, there is a way and the reason I left my son and made the choice to play football for Wayne State is to get an education and also make it to the pro‘s. In the movie Pursuit of Happyness, Chris Gardner is a marginally employed salesman and a single father, struggling with the mother of his five year old son Jayden Smith.
Forest Gump is an entertaining movie that will bring up all kinds of emotions from laughing to crying, but is profound because it speaks about the coming of age and destiny of a man deemed handicapped but he has an outlook on life through innocent eyes. According to Robert Ebert, famous movie critic for the Chicago Sun Times, Forest Gump “is more of a meditation on our times, as seen through the eyes of a man who lacks cynicism and takes things for exactly what they are.” In the movie Forest (Tom Hanks) is not only challenged boy with an IQ of 75 but he also stands out in society due to the fact that he wears braces on his legs. But Forest is full of surprises by going to college on a football scholarship since he can run like the wind. From here the army recruits him, where he also impresses everyone by becoming the “perfect solider.” In Vietnam he demonstrates such hero like attributes he receives the congressional medal of honor. Forest does not stop here, he later becomes a shrimping boat captain who's boat is the only one to survive after a major storm.
