Since late,we often read in newspapers and watch news on television about the increase in number of foreign workers in Malaysia. as the days passes, their population in Malaysia began to increase .Does their arrival will bring good to our country? The question is what are the advantages and disadvantages of having large number of foreign workers in Malaysia? With the advent of foreign workers in our country, we will enjoy some advantages; they don't care about low labor costs and they also able to work in long hours. And it also results in a disadvantage for us as the population keeps increasing and the level of unemployment among local citizens becomes higher. The first benefit is the low labor cost. yes, it is true because the labor cost of foreign employees is twice lower than local labor costs. This is so because most of the labors are coming to Malaysia from Pakistan, Indonesia, Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and others. Value of their national currency is low if compared to our country. Therefore, low wages do not cause any damage to their needs. but it's not the same for the local labor. They are unable to bear their family's needs with low wages. This is because of the modern era lifestyle which is highly advanced. Therefore, most companies prefer foreign employees to be their working power compared with local workers. With this, they can save the salary cost of labor. Apart from low cost labor, foreign workers are able to work for a long time period. This is because they are desperated to earn money by working here and making money for their family abroad. Therefore, they do not care about fatigue while working and they only concerned for the money. They can also bear a job for long periods of time without any complaints.
