This report is written to inform you about the complaint of the quality of some frozen lamb delivered by a supplier. Mr. Uwais Al-Ghori, we are very well informed about what has been going on in recent month. We check every delivery of frozen lamb, poultry, meat, chicken and others so far as use by dates and packaging go. But apparently, customers have complained that the lamb has a peculiar taste. This is a very serious problem and could affect the sales of the frozen lamb.
In previous months, Aneka Grocer and Hypermarket has received 10 complaints about some frozen lamb delivered by Ramly Food Processing Sdn. Bhd. They complained that the lamb has a peculiar taste and this could not be accepted by them. In order to solve this problem, I had done several investigations on this matter. Possible reasons of the problems are:-
The food is not in proper packaging, these might helps the growth of microorganisms that cause both food spoilage and foodborne illness. Proper packaging helps maintain quality and prevent freezer burn. It is safe to freeze meat or poultry directly in its original packaging, however this type of wrap is permeable to air or may be due to poorly wrapped product or incorrect packaging being used so the quality may diminish over time. For your information, the packaging of the frozen lamb is not suitable for long term storage because these frozen lamb will naturally rancid due to chemical changes that take place. It also can contain E. coli bacteria. Of course most of the customers will be complain about the frozen lamb.
