T.D.B 3/5/2013 Lifetime Wellness Is Food the New Medicine In the movie food matters, they had an approach on how medicine is what is really harming us as a race. The people in the movie debated and strongly suggested people start changing their lives to really healthy foods. I find that they had some very valid and solid points. In this paper I will be discussing on how I agree and disagree with the movie, and how the film honestly changed my ways of thinking towards our health care system. In all honesty I agreed with the movie Food Matters because I have honestly seen people change their lives over to eating healthier and it’s an amazing thing. The joy and happiness it brings to the people I have seen. Words can’t even describe on what I have seen. My grandma changed her eating habits and 4 months later she lost a lot of weight and looked really healthy and younger for some reason. After watching this film I will start eating more healthy for a couple of reasons. Food Matters expressed on how eating more organic foods can reduce so many risk of diseases and even reverse the disease to completely disappear. Heart disease runs deep into my family tree. Nobody in my family has ever really turned over to eating healthy. When sick they would always go to the doctor and the medicines they were taking never really seemed to help them. It always made things worse. During the movie they were comparing breast cancer stats between the United States and Japan. 38% of American women will either face or have breast cancer in their lifetime. This contributes from the medicine they take and our unhealthy food habits. They compared this to Japans breast cancer rate. Which is less than 1%. Japans typical diet consist of sea food and a bunch of other organic foods. The foods they eat contain high counts of vitamins which helps reduce the rate of disease and cancer. My mouth
