CHAPTER EIGHT In chapter eight, Siddhartha learns that the skills that used to be useful to him – meditating, fasting, and losing his sense of self—have been long lost due to his infatuation with worldly goods and desires. In addition, while reflecting on his life, he realizes just how many paths he has taken in his life, and how much he has changed as a person throughout the course of his life. In my life, I’ve learned that you must schedule some time to do absolutely nothing. Without a break from all the busyness that the world possesses, a person will surely go insane. Everyone needs some designated time to relax, where they are required to do absolutely nothing.
I like to imagine myself leading a group of struggled individuals while risking myself for them. I guess it's a dream habit that comes after seeing one too many action films. To my perspective, being the hero and becoming victorious always feels better and influences you reach that heroic point in imagination through actuality. Even though I wish not to, dreams of love or undoing the past come to me as well. The best way to keep yourself in check with reality is to dream is to never to dream about falsifications.
This quote reveals the harsh reality of life, that dreams may not come true if limits are not considered. People tend to dream dreams without limits. Reality plays a big role in dreaming. In order for one to achieve their dreams they must have limits. People simply just cannot start at the bottom and expect to be at the top the next day.
Dreams are what keep us moving forward. They inspire us to do better than what we have done so far. But the thing with dreams is that sometimes we can’t reach them. Sometimes we dream too big, to the point where we could never achieve them in the ways we wish we could. And in the end, they leave us crushed.
They consciously create each aspect, puzzling over it in stages... But sometimes, when our imagination flies it is: genuine inspiration. In a dream your mind continuously does that. Your DREAMS create and perceive a world simultaneously. So well does it do this, that you don't feel your brain doing the creating.
"Ignorance, the root and the stem of every evil." -Plato (427 BC - 347 BC) In developing critical thinking skills and the attainment of broad knowledge, children are given the chance to succeed in life. As they wade through the pages of life with the ability to be critical thinkers in their bag full of life essentials, they also come to find that happiness is not something they have to work for. It is through the indoctrination children receive in childhood that they find the bridges to their goals broken and unable to be met. Children are indoctrinated in different ways by their parents, caregivers, teachers, and the occasional friend much like the prisoners of Plato's Allegory of the Cave found in The Republic.
The Catcher in the Rye Adolescence is defined as a stage of development prior to maturity. It is a period of innocence, and imagination; the times before children are exposed to evil, or reality. As children grow old they endure different experiences that shape them as a whole. Although we are not children forever, we are always growing as people. In this novel, The Catcher in the Rye, Holden Caulfield takes the shape of a child because he is experiencing different obstacles from having to switch schools all the time.
Hopes and dreams help people to survive even if they can never become real… Every people dream and wonder around in their minds about special things. Dreams and hopes can be very important for people’s needs. In most cases, dreams can be misled because of the reality. It is very difficult to describe them because they are not the same for everybody. In the novel Of mice and men, there are many examples where characters have dreams but reality is different.
Students can experience a more beneficial learning environment by having a longer school day. High schoolers in particular should always be learning and wanting to approach more opportunities. Also, having a better learning experience means having no stress from being really tired. When you are stressed, it can make you distracted and unfocused on your studies. If kids miss a day it will result in missing out on learning new things and they would need to make work up.
This is particularly important for kids who are home alone for a few hours every day after school, as school sponsored activities will help children to stay occupied and will keep their minds actively engaged. If your kids are old enough to work for a few hours after school each day, encourage them to get a job. This will not only keep them busy and prevent them from feeling bored, it will also take up a pretty healthy amount of time which they might otherwise spend mindlessly hanging out with their friends or getting involved in something that you would prefer they
