Just like any other job they sacrifice their time away form their families, but they spend more time away from their families due to the fact that they have morning and night workouts. On game day they spend there whole day at the sports arena getting ready for the game. They also take trips that they spend over night, sometimes more than that. In contrast, they are getting paid more to be away from their families than the normal business people do.
