What Pride Means to Me What does pride mean? Sure, a simple textbook answer would please the mind of most, but to look beyond a slew of words defining such a complexity is to fully understand and grasp the meaning of "pride". I am being prideful with my words, I would like to think that my vocabulary is beyond most my age; Do I take too much pride in that? To me, pride can easily be described as being boastful of the work that I do, the things that I know, and my ability to learn. To others, pride can have a completely different definition.
Lower the dangers of low-esteem were feeling worthless and not wanted takes control. Just remind yourself of the good things in life that you have done keep this going in your head tell people what you are worth and how great you are and always remind yourself of that. Things like this will help a person and keep them thinking that this is so important in having healthy self-esteem is also shorten the fact that this is reality and not fiction and that it something that need to be done. If a person happens to use their self-esteem for something larger it can ruin it also. An example of this is telling the person they are the fastest by telling them this it can ruin their self-esteem so many ways getting there hopes high to have them crushed will send them on a spiral loop which could end up badly.
I consider myself to be a friendly, approachable person. I tend to be the listening ear to many friends because of the trust that has be formed. People see me as a natural leader because of how I nurture, influence and inspire those around me. I see myself as just being a kind person who treats people like I want to be treated. I consider myself to be a well-rounded person.
While someone else may hold a different ethical viewpoint, I have found, upon taking the Ethical Lens Inventory, my own personal ethical viewpoint to lie right in the middle of the Results Lens and the Reputation Lens. The things I value the most are personal independence and equality between all people. Also, I believe in overcoming obstacles with reasoning and courage. One of my greatest strengths is having compassion, and nothing is more important to me than that specific trait. However, where there is strength, there is also weakness.
