My Favorite Vacation On a sunny, random day of the summer we decided to have a camping adventure in the beautiful city of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The drive took approximately four hours from our house. Myrtle Beach has sixty miles of sandy white beaches along the beautiful, blue Atlantic Ocean. No wonder it has been named the number one family beach in America. Also, one of my favorite places there is a place called “Broadway at the Beach” which is located in the heart of the city. Broadway is like a series of shops built around a pond that has lots of large fish that are hungry to have food from people. In the middle of the pond there is fountain and there is a raft which takes people from one side to the other. Our yearly trip to Myrtle Beach is always beautiful, but this one was my favorite, because it left sweet thoughts in my mind and it was the most adventurous and memorable one. With the temperature ranging between 90 and 100 it was perfect weather to stay in an air conditioned area. However, we decided to settle down in a tent in a nice campground. With a six year-old girl and a two years-old kid, setting the tent was an experience of its own. We started missing parts from the tent, you can easily guess, where they went. They have two feet and two tiny hands and they can walk. After a marathon run with kids we finally set up the tent, had a quick lunch and headed to the beach. Trees surrounded us, but it was just a little help to hide from the burning sun. During the day, walking by the shore was a torture because our feet were burning from the hot sand that was cooked by the sun. Since I don’t know how to swim, getting into the water was a challenge to me. The two foot high wave appeared to me as high as a three story house. Sure, I can not swim, but I can swallow water and every wave that hit me made me swallow more of this nasty, salty ocean
