Self Assessment and Reflection Paper Tiffany Davis COM 516 September 3, 2012 Shari Cooper Self Assessment and Reflection Paper This class has been a very enjoyable experience. In school I believe that I learned a little slower than others, but I always manage to achieve good grades. One of the most exciting assignments during this class was to take a learning style assessment test to see which of the three learning styles I learn best from. I choose to take my learning styles assessment at http://www.HowToLearn.com/quiz. Taking the learning style assessment test was very interesting experience.
His personality was just really entertaining. He could be calm, but as soon as he lost his temper, you shouldn’t cross him. He was extremely academically based. He was very worried about his grades and studies. The author’s vocabulary and diction was another thing I really liked.
It was worth every question and worksheet to where I am now. I have had a great year and was faced with many challenges but all in all I did a pretty good job and improved all my English skills hugely. I’ve always been a good reader through school but even my reading skills improved this year. We read a selection of great books that have helped me understand big concepts. I felt that Night by Elsie Wesile and Anthem by Alice Hoffman should be taught next year because they were the most interesting and had the most impact on me as the reader.
I knew I could succeed in whatever I wanted to do with my life, but the problem was I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life. As students; however, we all process many strengths, mine being that I’m a great reader, but I wasn’t always a great reader. When I was in first grade, I was placed in special education because of my poor reading skills. Now this helped me a lot, by showing me where my weaknesses where in reading. Consequently
I do well in an unpredictable environment where I am able to stay busy, manage my time, and prioritize tasks, and the field for neonatal nursing would be a strong fit for me. 2. My favorite subjects in school thus far have been Biology, History, Spanish, and Art. The main reasons why Biology was enjoyable for me is because I had a great teacher who related the content to parts of life. In history while I don’t feel I am strong at memorizing, I do connect ideas well together.
I mainly pushed them off because elementary teachers always wanted some kind of colorful and creative diorama or drawing. Even though I found this fairly simple, I just didn’t enjoy the trivial coloring or gluing. I would put these off so much that I would even have to ask my dad to come help me finish just so I could get to bed on time. However as I grew older I began to enjoy schoolwork more. It was becoming more complex, especially in math.
They are the subjects I find most interesting. Science is so cool because there are so many different fields you can study; there are a lot of great job opportunities out there available. Math isn’t a subject that everybody loves; you have to have a certain taste for it. I believe I have that taste; I have always liked the
He offered a lot of help and was willing to make notes on my paper to attempt at helping me make my paper the best it could possibly be. I really appreciate his time and effort and definitely took in to account some of the great and helpful feedback he gave me. Another person I would also like to shortly thank is Professor Miller. She took the time out of her busy schedule to sit down and have a conference with me and go over any questions. It made it easier to figure out exactly what she was looking for in my paper.
I always liked electronics since a young age, I enjoyed breaking my electronics, my video games, my toys apart and trying to understand how they worked and then trying to put them back together again. I must admit that I was not always successful but I learned a lot from my experiences. Then, as I grew up, I studied physics and got more insight into transistors, resistors and conductors, my curiosity grew stronger as well. My goal is to design devices that will help and make people life a little easier. For this, I know California University of Pennsylvania is the best choice for
My goals for the year were to have lots of fun and get good grades. I was also scared because I didn’t know what to expect. Would it be the same as second grade, or would it be completely different? We had lots of subjects like spelling, handwriting, grammar, math, reading, history, music, P.E., and computers. Our first subject was spelling, it was really fun!
