Fast food is an invention of modern times. Fast food is ubiquitous; you can have fast food at every corner of the earth. Hamburger fries, or pizza are so popular that they are become everyday meal for a lot of people. Fast food is cheap, time economize, tasty and convenience. However, the disadvantages of fast food are undeniable, fast food negatively impact the environment and human health. American’s fast food culture is now spreading all over the world, and creates many negative impacts on our nature and human health. First, most fast food are pre-packaging, so the number of fast food consumed are proportional with the number of packaging that thrown to waste. As a result, fast food packaging become one primary source lead to both water and land pollution around the world. Fast-food packaging occupies 20% of US litter; another 20% comes from packaging for chips, drinks, candy, and other snacks. Secondly, fast food strongly influences human health. Calories, salt and fat contains in fast food satisfies costumer taste however damage their health as the same time. Because most fast food is fried, a lot of vitamins are lost during the frying process. Obesity, diabetes, cancer are the diseases that are hidden inside fast food .Obesity is not just overweighed, it results serious health problems and leads to death sometimes. Obese or overweighed people occupy 60% of American population. Although fast food has the negative impact on human and the environment, there are also advantages of enjoying fast food. First, fast food is cheap. For low income peoples such as students, kids, workers fast food is a perfect choice for their meal. For one lives alone, it is much cheaper to buy a pre-cooked meal in the supermarket rather than buying ingredients and making foods for themselves. Second of all, fast food saves your time.
