Miss Lisa makes monthly scheduled parent meetings. The meetings consist of all the parents going to to the classroom early before the class begins. She discusses the lessons she had been giving their children and what they have been learning from them. She understands that not all the parents are able nor available in the mornings. She makes it known to the parents that if they would like to meet at a later time or another day she would have no problem rescheduling to make it possible for her to have that meeting with the parent(s).
My students will develop a community that respects each other in the classroom as well as out of the classroom. Once these goals have been met I feel that the rest of the year will be smooth sailing! (Gallagher, 1999-2012). In the field of education, good classroom management is essential ( Froyer & Iverson, 1999) . Encouraging and establishing student self-control through a process of promoting positive student achievement and behavior is what every classroom needs.
Classroom Management, Engagement, & Motivation: Task 1 Ms. Smith’s homework policy applies the principles of best practices in positive social interaction by being clear in her expectations and allowing opportunity for communication and feedback. Ms. Smith’s homework policy promotes positive social interaction between herself and the student when she verbally explains her policy at the beginning of every year. She is clear with her expectations and reinforces them throughout the year. Sending a copy of the policy home to the parents and providing the student with their own copy promotes student-parent interaction as well as parent-teacher interaction. Ms. Smith encourages interaction when students fail to pickup graded homework assignments and need to ask for them after class.
Security is one of the priorities of the school allowing more focus on teaching and student learning. The Parent Welcome Center provided warmth and a family type atmosphere with a place to sit and read to your child. The Parent Welcome Center also provided helpful information for the parents on childhood educational and parenting skills to broaden themselves. The classrooms are laid out for the teacher to help optimize the children’s needs and to improve teacher work flow. The resources for the children are at a higher standard for learning and motor skill development.
Epstein says there are six types of involvement in parental engagement (Epstein, 2009). The types of involvement are parenting, communicating, volunteering, learning at home, decision-making, and collaborating with the community. Parenting involves encouraging the student to do well, instilling positive beliefs and values in the child. Communication within the school as well as at home can create a powerful relationship between the student and parents. Parents should communicate to manage their child’s academic success.

All the fun activities that you do with your child at home are important in supporting their learning and development, and have a really long lasting effect on your child’s learning as they progress through school. Even when your child is very young and is not yet able to talk, talking to them helps them to learn and understand new words and ideas. According to the authors, millennial students were influenced by a unique set of culture, such as hard work, supportive parents who desire the best for their future. Even with these positive qualities, millennial students also give difficulties to their teachers, counselors and the administrators at high school and college levels. An additional influence on the millennial students is parental involvement. Parents of this generation pay very close attention to their children’s academic progress and extracurricular activities. Anti-bullying policies are in place in school to ensure the children know that bullying is not acceptable behaviour but a child should feel confident enough to report an incident if one occurs and should know who they can go to within the school to discuss any such situations. * Make a positive contribution-A child should feel like they make a positive contribution to the school by being noticed and rewarded for their achievements. 100 square points, head teacher stickers, merit awards are all ways of boosting s childs confidence and can encourage positive behaviour. * Develop social and emotional skills-Through Personal, Social and Health Education (PHSE) lessons, a school can ensure that all children develop these personal abilities and skills that will motivate them to strive for higher personal achievement, socially and academically throughout their lives, PHSE also helps a child to understand how they are developing personally and socially and tackles many of the moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up. Basic everyday good manners should be recognised and a subtle prompt given if missed to ensure the correct level of respect is both given and received.
1. As a teacher, I can promote resilience in my classroom by creating positive and caring relationships with my parents and children. Promoting caring relationships with my families would be top priority in my classroom. Parents have to trust that their children are safe and welled cared for when they leave their children in my care. For example, I would host a family day where the students can bring their parent s to school for the day.
Jessica Hood March 09,2013 "Best school for kids" Stakeholders can be defined as people or organizations that are concerned about, affected by, have a vested interest in, or are involved in some way with the issue at hand. Therefore in my school the students, parents, teachers and staff are the biggest part of the stakeholder's. As a student at the school you must maintain a positive attitude as well as great grades at all times in order to continue own with you share of the school. The Parents of the school have a special and high priority of making sure that the school stays clean and well organized at all times they must come in and volunteer one day a week and also invest at the rate of 10 percent per there income.
