Trying to see things in someone elses eyes is hard to do and often people don’t even think twice about doing it. The world is full of many different people some of which are much different than others, but they don’t deserve judgment. Scout and Jem both learned at a young age to show human compassion towards other people, something that not many people do. They learn from their father on how to step back and see things differently then others. Judgment wouldn’t occur as often if you
She said “There were things Amanda wasn’t telling her.” Amanda didn’t share a lot of her secrets with the people in the group which just shows that the group didn’t really know her at all. Kate and Joe were supposed to be Amanda’s closest friends in the group. Kate knew Amanda was acting strange and there were things she wasn’t telling her. Kate just assumed that it had to do with Amanda’s ex-boyfriend, Steve and though nothing of it. She never asked her what was wrong.
You weren’t suppose to call students up later at night, but I had it all figured out. I was going to tell whoever answered the phone that I was her uncle. I had a accident and I had to speak to her immediately. It would’ve worked too. The only reason I didn’t do it was because I wasn’t in the mood.
TDA 3.6 2.1 Children and young people can experience prejudice and discrimination on many different levels. This can range from how they look, the clothes they were, how they speak, their religion and beliefs, their gender, their age, for having a disability. This can start of very simply as being picked on from having a different type of uniform (skirt, coat, shoes) etc, and can lead to a child being excluded from joining in games and play because of this. This can continue on a daily basis with children thinking they are playing and aren’t doing anything wrong. Sometimes this is learned behaviour from home and is hard for young children to understand that you are telling them it is not okay to call names because of someone’s skin colour or how they look .
Coco Woods Kaplan University CM 206 According to the video, no it does not seem like Alan is listening. I say this because when Gretchen was telling him that she could spit stuff out fast but it wouldn’t be quality and when the other employee was trying to explain to him about his son, he didn’t want to hear it. He could have given them some type of response to their questions and still kept handling the situation at hand and not have had to deal with their personal issues. Even though being an employer you have to listen to your employers so that you can understand them because at the end of the day, they do have a life outside of work. It seems to me that Alan does not like this part of his job very much and that the employees
Social life is even harder when a child is considered, or in some cases even labeled, an “outsider.” Being an outsider can mean that the child, boy or girl, speaks a different language, is the new kid in town, or even dresses differently. Growing up with a disability, a person is automatically labeled as an “outsider,” because they are different and in many cases require certain accommodations that others do not need. When kids are young they do not quite grasp the concept of what is wrong and what is right. Making fun of others for having a disability such as being deaf is wrong, but the younger kids are the crueler they could be. McElroy confirms this by stating that “society is brutal to those who are different.” Without speaking would be hard for Gauvin to make friends when conversation is hard for him to communicate with other kids and understand them.
Lennie’s a nice guy, he wouldn’t hurt no one on purpose, he wouldn’t hurt a fly, I know he wouldn’t mean to cause no trouble, but if Curley starts somethin’ I’ll tell Lennie to fight back ‘cos I’ve seen guys like him before. Guys like Curley need to be taught a lesson. I aint gonna let Lennie get beat up by Curley for no ‘cos that aint right. That wife of Curley’s worries me too. I heard she always gives everyone the eye; I’m worried that she might give Lennie the eye and he might do somethin’ stupid again like he did back in Weed.
If Uncle Axel like David’s father who hates mutant, he would not have told him his special ability. Another example, “ "I want you to promise me that you will never, never tell anyone else what you have just told me - never”(4,31) This quote is describing the situation where Uncle Axel finds out about David can communicate with others only use his thought. He reacts quietly and calmly and tells David to never tell anyone, do not do it out loud any more. The readers can get some important information from here -- Uncle Axel seems lenient and accepting towards differences. If he did not, he would not taught ,explained and helped David to understand about Waknuk's rules and their views on people who are different from the image of God.
works. It’s not like I don’t think he’s not phony and all, I still hate him for writing those craps he writes. What else I could have done, the “hotshot” doctor said I have to stay at somewhere near my family, and it was the only goddam option I had. I’m bit looking forward to the new school; tough I’m just halfway to the damn assignments to catch on to… And, old Phoebe, she is just so smart
Will Demps also writes in his essay titled “Groupie Love” that he removes himself from temptation by surrounding himself with like minded players. Will doesn’t compete in locker room competion with other guys. “I see myself growing and changing.” I can relate to Will Demps, because I also feel mature and feel that the decisions I make today will reflect on what happens tomorrow. You never know where life is going to take you; all you can do is hope, wish, and pray for the best. I feel that if I believe in something so much and pray for it every day and also work at it every day, it will come true no matter how slim my chance is.
