Tamara Kailany English 1C M/W 11:00-12:20 Quinn Activity Log * March 20- we got our fallacies, and mine was, “false analogy fallacy” * March 23- read chapter 9, to get a better understanding on my fallacy * March 26- did more exploring on the internet to find good examples for my fallacy, and to get more than a book description about it * March 30- I decided to put together a PowerPoint for my lesson, and include a YouTube video as well, for my class mates to understand what a “false analogy fallacy”, really is. I also included a little quiz at the end of my presentation, to test the student’s and see if they gained any knowledge about what I was teaching Cover Letter When I first got my fallacy topic, I honestly was really excited, because I feel that, “False Analogy Fallacy’s”, are so common in this generation. I wanted to make a power point presentation, in order to get my point across in a simple and clear way. I had to do a lot of research to find good examples to share with the class. Also, luckily there was a formula to use, when trying to figure out what a false analogy fallacy really is, so I feel that it made my presentation stronger, because it was so simple and straight to the point. I wanted to incorporate a YouTube video as well in my PowerPoint, mainly because I feel that too much talking can bore the audience, and videos are another great source informing a point you’re trying to express. When we first began this lesson on fallacies, I had no idea what a fallacy even was. So, I definitely had to do a lot of reading in chapter 9, as well as do a lot of research online to get a better feel on my topic. My strengths in this project would have to be my PowerPoint and YouTube video. The only weakness I see, is maybe going more in depth on my topic during my presentation, because I felt like I spoke to fast due to being nervous
