One of the biggest amusement parks known around the United States is Cedar Point. Many people attend the park during the summer when it’s warm. Some reasons may be why people go is because there are many roller coasters, good food choices, multiple overnight choices, and a lake with a beach right outside the park. Cedar Point is located in Sandusky, Ohio. Cedar Point has a variety of different rides.
Some like the Blue Room night club, Topsiders, and the H. Toads hold live music performed by local bands or well known music artists. Also, many people come down to the lake for the great shopping and the big deals they can get at some of the stores. One of the main shopping stops around the lake is the Osage Village Outlet mall which has 110 stores to choose from. Another great place to stop at around the lake is the Bagnell Dam strip which has many stores, places to eat, and the great view of the lake. After using most of your energy from shopping, it’s time to replenish yourself with some great food from hundreds of restaurants located around the lake.
There are woods to hunt in and rivers and lakes to fish in. Football means to world to most people and makes for exciting Friday nights and weekends. In recent years Oklahoma has begun to take a new approach to the way music is presented by producing more opportunities for live shows and allowing a larger variety of genres. In 2008 Norman Music Festival was born, thus developing one of the first of many new venues and festivals that would eventually spread through the entire state. Norman Music Festival was originally one day but has since grown to spread out over 2 full days and three nights, popularity has generated an increasing number of attendees each year. News Ok did a review of the festival and had this to say, “Main stage act Horse Thief entertained a crowd of at least 250 patrons. The band’s pastoral pop performance was breezy, beautiful and only a taste of what the festival had to offer.” The most recent addition to the Oklahoma music scene was Mystic Sanctuary, a two day EDM (Electronic Dance Music) rave where 25,000 people from across Oklahoma and neighboring states came to join in the festivities.

Mardi Gras is music, parades, picnics, floats, and excitement for the entire family to enjoy. Everyone is usually wearing purple, green, and gold colors, and people are adorned with long colorful beads and goodies that are caught from the beautiful decorated floats. During Mardi Gras, most families sit on the ground throwing balls, playing music, having a picnic, and watching crowds of people walk between the floats.
