Analysis of Miracle from a Leadership and Coaching Perspective Elisa Van Kirk Smith College It would be safe to say that most sports fanatics have seen the Disney movie Miracle. However, viewing it from a coaching and leadership perspective is a very different experience. The movie is very instructive and helpful for coaches to understand how a man took a team that was not supposed to win to victory. Using many different models of leadership to analyze the actions of coach Herb Brooks is no easy task.
Hating to lose, but realizing that it was only my first race ever. Though being a senior expectations were high. People begining to doubt that i could make it far as a high school hurdler. I set out to proove to myself and others that with hardwork and dedication, I will be able to make it far this season. Unfortunatly, my indoor season was a fail.

Organized labor did indeed try to succeed, few goals were achieved, but too many impediments stood in their way of significantly improving their positions. The public’s opinion was a major contributing factor in overruling labor unions. According to The New York Times, the public was sympathetic towards the strikers of Baltimore and Ohio Road (Doc B). However, during the year of that editorial, there was the Panic of 1877. Most people at that time were actually just starting to get suspicious of organized labor.
His grades fell and then fell again. Most of his grades were ok but his English grade stayed bad. He started wrestling in 11th grade after finally telling himself that it doesn’t matter what anybody else thinks. He was beginning to realize how strong he was and came up with the game plan “if they not stronger then I am then they can’s slam me or get me in an uncomfortable position”. He would go into every match determined not to lose and would come out victor.
He actually risked his life and tried to triple his IQ, by going through a surgery. He was also cheated and was not told that there wasn’t enough research in that area. The saddest and worst effect was that he will always remember being a brilliant genius but he will never get the chance to be on again. That is just a little bit compared to the other sad things he went through, but that is why I am against him having the
With the Brave New World society, they used soma as a replacement for both depression and religion. Using soma gave the taker instant gratification and kept everyone in check with the society. No one would question what was happening, nor would they question why they were taking soma - stability at its highest level. In Lord of the Flies, a leader could act as the soma in order to maintain solidity. Unfortunately, there were two leaders and this created indecision among the boys on the island.

Walt Disney was fired from the Kansas City newspaper for not being creative enough and was considered “slow” as a child. He is now considered one of the best-known motion picture producers in the world, and holds the record for the most awards and most nominations. Walt Disney put it best when he said, “All the adversity I've had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles, have strengthened me. You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.” As shown, adversity can be beat.
I thought that I would make friends right away and do well in school, but I did not. People were not only very judgmental but they would bully me for being different. At the age of nine or ten I could not understand why they hated me so much. There were many times where I would come home to my family crying my eyes out. It has taken me years to make good friends, but now that I have them I feel ambitious and more motivated.
I slapped myself in the face to give myself some sense. I began to realize that even though I couldn’t play because of my injury I was still out there playing. I still helped the team win by drawing up the final play. I still helped the team win by teaching Lee about the offense. I was so selfish when I got hurt and didn’t realize I could still be a part of the team.
