Since the fast development of electronic in the 21st century, technology has changed the way we live, especially in terms of online communication. Web2.0 technology replaced all those old traditional ways of communication such as talking face to face as the only way for people to communicate in the past. People nowadays are no longer limited on the ways of their interaction. Many teenagers have learned and adopted quickly into this web 2.0 environment. I have accessed the internet for a couple of years. There is not a single thing that worth my time on it, except one of the online communication, Facebook, keeps my interest. For most teenagers like me, Facebook is one of the most popular friend to friend networking sites. Facebook has grown in the same pace as the web2.0. Facebook is the largest used online communication tool for users in different ages. Facebook is a representative of web2.0 technology because it’s a friend to friend interaction community. Facebook users have their own home pages and profiles containing the choices of posting status and photos. Users can communicate on Facebook by posting text description on other’s page, and the comment section allows all friends that user has to join to conversation or discussion by commenting on a post or just simply paste a new post on user’s page. For example, Windy is a friend of Cloudy on Facebook; Icy is friend of Windy; whatever Windy posts on Facebook, Cloudy can see it and be able to share her opinion on that post because Windy is a mutual friend of Cloudy and Icy. Throughout this mutual friend business, one can locate the friends he/she probably knows from the past . It’s simple to use Facebook to interact with friends in this web2.0 technological era.
