Evil is a negative energy that has the ability to enter any aspect of one’s life and corrupt it. When something of such a nature is introduced in a slow manner it doesn't appear to be problematic, but if ignored it will eventually grow and consume a person. Facebook, a social networking site that dominates both the internet and the lives of almost one billion world-wide, is an addiction that is growing daily. Spouses, bosses, grandparents, and now even twelve year olds are representative of the demographic power of Facebook. The advantages of Facebook such as finding a long lost friend, or "checking in" to places as a source of advertising are beneficial and enjoyable; however the disadvantages of potentially damaging real life socialization, invading ones privacy, and creating drama between users poses a major concern in today's society. Facebook is an impressionable trend that is frequently abused; creating a narcissistic and envious evil among users. Firstly, Facebook damages real life socialization. It may connect societies, but at the same time it disconnects users from the real world. Instead of doing something enjoyable such as talking, eating, dancing and drinking with friends in person, one is instead sending them ungrammatical notes and amusing photos in cyberspace. Far from connecting us, Facebook actually isolates one at their workstation. A bad addiction to online communities may alienate a person from the real world and in the worst case, bring about grave consequences. Facebook has also been known to cause social stress and emotional pain. A New York Times article describes how people endure greater social stress and emotional pain as a result of Facebook. Many users may feel pressured into accepting "friend invites" from people whom they may not regard as friends. Others are pressured into a popularity contest where they must madly gather as many
