Play Hard" campaigns, and petitions like, change.org, forcechange.com and thelunchtray.com, these were all steps in the process of getting our kids the nutrition and health changes they needed. Now, that the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act has been implemented our schools now follow the following guidelines to ensure we are promoting a healthily eating and physical environment for our children. 1) We use a coordinated approach to develop, implement, and evaluate healthy eating and physical activity policies and practices. 2) Establish school environments that support healthy eating and physical activity. 3) We now provide a quality school meal program and ensure that students have only appealing, healthy food and drink choices offered outside of the school meal program, i.e.
2.1 As health care workers we must follow “LOLER 1998 Legislation”, also the home will have work instructions which we must follow, not to work without correct training. We must follow risk assessments in the residents care plans which are tailored to the individuals and their specific conditions. When residents come into the home they are assessed for their specific capabilities by the in house physiotherapist and if a hoist is needed they are then measured and assessed for the type of hoist and sling used so they have the correct fit and weight for the hoist and sling. The residents all have their own slings to be used on the hoist to avoid cross contamination and to ensure they are accessible when needed. 2.2 The health and safety factors that need to be taken into account when moving and handling residents and using the equipment to do this are making sure we follow the health and safety at works act 1974 whilst
D1 A mealtime routine promotes a healthy lifestyle as it effects the child’s development. This effects the child’s social development, as, in this routine, the carer or the practitioners should eat with the child and talk to him/her. This would increase the social development of the child as the child would be talking to the adults and, if the child is eating with their family, possibly talking to other children. As well as this, if the child is talking about the food they are eating to the adults and the adults are telling the child about the food, the child’s intellectual development will be enhanced as children will gain knowledge about food. Also, if a child is eating with an adult and the adult is eating the same food, the child will look up to the adult as a role model as they are eating the same foods.
At settings, the key person will have warm and affectionate bond with babies and children but they do not replace the parents and if the key person has a long term illness so two people will care for a child in the setting. The Early Years Foundation stage states that all settings must put the key person approach into practice. The key person system is someone who has a child assigned to them and has more contact than other staff members and has a relationship with the child and parents and also cater to the child’s needs by changing their nappies and answers to their needs and emotions. (3.2) Explain how babies and children learn and develop best from a basis of loving, secure relationships with carers and with key person in work settings The significance of warming and secure relationships – babies and children start to understand and make sense of the world around them by using their cry so that the parent or carer can quickly respond to their needs and also have a loving and secure relationship with the baby. The kids who participate also get a free kids meal from Chick-fil-A, and who passes up a free meal. This year I kept up with one of my good friends who work with Chick-fil-A and he told me they needed some extra help out there. I chose to do this event because it seemed like it would be a fun way to hang out with kids, and help Chick-fil-A in any way I can. I enjoy hanging out with kids so I knew I would enjoy this event. I got to dress up, get my face painted, and hang out with kids for four hours.
Consider volunteering for a rewarding experience. We can use volunteers in so many different ways! If you have any questions or you would like to donate please contact one of our case workers who are always available for item intake. We also send a truck into the community once a month for families who would like to donate large items to be sold or refurbished through our thrift store that benefits program applicants. We hope that this information will encourage you to lend a helping hand to those who are experiencing temporary difficulties in this community and believe one thing: you can make a difference in someone’s life today!

Generally LPNs will work with newborns in the nursery or with older children and their duties include running blood tests, checking vital signs, administering some medications, urine and solid waste output. RNs can work in any area they choose within pediatrics. They do everything LPNs as well as hanging blood, administering pain medications and supervising LPNs.
