The verse that I feel is the most profound is “I wanna hold you baby right or wrong” (22). Being there for someone right or wrong. Standing by their side through thick or thin. If someone truly loves someone they will be there for them no matter what. When she states “when you’re gone/ I wanna go too” (19-20) means to me that if you love someone this much, that you can not bare the thought of going on with your life without them.
I bought her a hot-water heater, and another one when it wore out…They were tiny things, inconsequential things. I did them because I was supposed to, because it was my turn to do things for her, and because I was trying to make up for any wrong I had ever done her.” (Bragg, pg. 151) His mother made many sacrifices for her boys when she was growing up, and Bragg was compassionate to his mother. He loved her so much and wanted her to live a comfortable life. This can strike a note with most readers, as most people feel attached to their mothers and would do anything to make them happy.
In the book Where the Heart Is by Billie Letts, Novalees mother and Willy jack pretended to love her when they needed things from her. Others, like Sister Husband, showed her what a real family was like. She showed Novalee that even if you just met the person, they can care for you more than your biological family ever could. Forney proved to her that love really does exist and that a family is the people who love and care for you. Novalee made sure that she had a family that would care for her and love her and care for and love Americus, too.
One thing most every mother wants, is to give their child the very best they can. When Arianna was born, I was so relieved that she was finally here. I held her in my arms expecting to be overcome with this love for her, like you see in the movies. That isn't at all how it happened though. When I first held my baby girl, who was perfect in every way, I didn't feel a strong attachment right at first.
Herberth 1 Wendy Herberth Mr. Smith ENG1101 E-Learning November 18, 2012 "Mommy dearest" "Mirror mirror on the wall", I am really like my mother after all. Daughter and mother relationships are something so valuable and should be treasured in my opinion. Many young girls admire their mothers, as they are their very first friend. They are each other's confidantes and pals. A mothers duty is to protect their young, and giving birth to a baby girl is a miracle, but then raising a daughter is a whole different miracle.
Mama thought of Dee as a star. She dreams that her daughters return would be something special. Mama thought that this reunion would be similar as a Johnny Carson show where Dee would come from behind a curtain crying tears of joy to see her mother. However, that is not how Dee embraces her mother and sister Maggie. She returns to show then her new found style and heritage and to take family heirlooms from the home.
I wanted, and Vivian too to be much closer than we were, it was time to move home. My daughter Elizabeth did not have an easy delivery, she needed rest and help with Emily so she could recover. Thank God that Joe’s parents, Bobby and Marilyn were close by to help. Emily was grandchild number 6 for them and they certainly knew what to do and how to help. I am so thankful they were there for Elizabeth, Emily and Joe.
As each one of us grows it seems that the courage that comes along with a child’s innocence is lost. Crash is a movie that tugs at its audience’s emotions. It was a very controversial movie but shows the love that is in relationships and that children tend to take care of their parents. When becoming a parent their child helps them grow and be all that they can be as they support their children to be all they can be. A parent learns just as much from their children as children learns from their parents.
Her change in attitude was largely due to her placement in a healthy foster family environment. Nai lived in two foster homes until her final placement with a supportive and loving foster family. At first, it was really difficult for her foster family as they were not sure how to emotionally connect with the quiet and reserved teen. Nai explains that it was just very difficult for them to understand what she was going through. But, her foster parents supported her as much as they could, and encouraged her to become involved in school academics and sports to keep her active and busy.
The sacrifices, beliefs, and values parents’ implant in their children will help determine the person they grow up to be. A child is like a sponge that absorbs their parent’s thoughts and viewpoints that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. Parents make great sacrifices for the care of their children. No matter what parents are going to try to do the best to protect and give them what is the best for them. In the novel, The Kite Runner, by Khaled Hosseini, the author uses the parallels of, Amir and Soraya, and their love and tension relationship with their fathers to demonstrate in the end, their fathers all they want is what is the best for them.
