1.1 Explain the various elements of the marketing process: 1.1a Elements of marketing process : The process of determining and satisfying customer’s needs is marketing process which includes the following elements: Situation Analysis Marketing Strategy Marketing Mix Decisions Implementation Control 1.1b Situation analysis: 1.1b.1 Broad trend: - Economic growth rate is up to 6,0% (Linh, 2012). - People’s material and spiritual life are improving and consumer needs are diversify. - Understanding this, Gatorade can take advantages of cheap human labor, potential market with enhanced policies and avoiding risk. 1.1b.2 Internal Environment: 7’s: Strategy Skills Structure Shared values Style System Staff    Analyze the organizational effectiveness of Pepsi Co. Improve the operation al process of Pepsi Co. Define the best way to apply a strategy. SW: -Strength:  Determine resources and capabilities can be used to develop a competitive advantage.  Help Gatorade use the labor and take advantages efficiently, moreover reduce many cost. - Weakness:    Determine Gatorade’s weakness, for e.g. they do not have a direct selling system in Vietnam (Anon., 2009). Help Gatorade to plan strategies to overcome these weaknesses. Cost a lot of time and money in recovering and researching. 1.1b.3 External Environment: PEST: - Political factors:   Determine the political factors in Vietnam. Pepsi Co. has to follow the law and takes advantages of enhanced investment policies. Economic factors:  Define economic factors in the short-term, long-term and government intervention on the economy.  Help Gatorade to make investment decisions in Vietnam market.  Social factors: Determine characteristics of Vietnamese consumers.  Make Gatorade’s sales in Vietnam increase by meeting the needs of customer.  It costs money to research.  
