Executive Summary The topic of diversity consciousness is becoming an increasingly important feature of today’s business world. This is due to the diverse make-up of the workforce which includes individuals from many ethnic groups. As a result, in order to function efficiently, companies have to accept and adjust to the differences of their diverse employees. One company that has had frequent diversityrelated publicity both negative and positive is Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. The Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is a combination of store and restaurant catering to those who like Southern comfort food and memorabilia. The company has a history of discrimination against employees and customers based on several factors, some of which are detailed in the ensuing pages. The report that follows will touch upon the areas that we researched on the company including: * Identifying the variables of discrimination; * Providing assessment tools for identifying those variables; * Visiting one of the locations and providing a summary of the visit; * Providing specific diversity-related publicity in the form of blogs; * Providing details regarding the stakeholder’s and annual reports with relation to diversity issues. Due to its open and blatant discrimination of individuals of other races, ethnicities, sexual preferences, and some cases of sexual harassment, Cracker Barrel has had its share of diversity-related issues which resulted in several lawsuits against the company. However, in recent years Cracker Barrel has made great efforts geared to correcting some of these issues, and from our research it seems that they continue to work towards achieving diversity
