Without it, there are only assumptions. It’s always possible to make some predictions about learners from an application form or selection test, but it’s an insecure basis for planning. Learners themselves bring assumptions about learning based on the past, and some of these may get in the way of looking ahead to a new way of learning.

Eventually, the biggest problem will be to find a balance between making the much-needed progress and to try not to overwhelm everyone else involved such as teachers, parents and especially the students. There is much debate in the United States over the implementation of no child left behind, as well as its goals and methods. Teachers, administrators, parents and concerned citizens nationwide have a wide range of strong opinions about the effectiveness of this law. Many believe that no child left behind is a constructive law that will help to develop equal education for all students (NYSUT, 10S). Others completely disagree with no child left behind, feeling that such a strong focus on standardized testing is not effectively assessing what students can actually do.
My belief is to have a aim in life, and work towards it, whether it be a aim in life to work towards, whether it be higher qualifications to better my job prospects or working towards bettering my career path, each is a great belief for me to acheive as this will be beneficial to my children and improve my way of life. While my Values and Beliefs are important to me I appreciate that not everyone values the same qualities. While it has not been an issue in my current position I could say that I may have less empathy or patience for people who are more work shy or don't work to my standard. It is important that i dont allow my beliefs and values to place a strain on my relationships with both colleauges and service users. Working in the Health sector, you are most likely to come accross people with views you dont agree with and some people wont understand your point of view.
Actively encourage and support learners in becoming independent. Will lead learning “guided” groups, modelling concepts and language that the adult leading the learning has used. Will alter an activity or change the apparatus if an activity does not meet the learners needs to enable them to achieve or exceed the expected outcome. Are acutely aware of learners capabilities/prior learning/understanding and plan very effectively to build on these. The areas that I have assessed as “good” and therefore need improving are: Enable learners to access resources appropriately – I feel that I need to make more time to be able to show the children how they can get the best from the resources that they have available to them.
Such decisions include a better and thorough understanding of the students´ particular learning styles, their affective needs, and their own personal goals to establish the right balance between teaching and learning. Another essential aspect I need to consider when planning or teaching a lesson is pacing, which again, was one of my biggest problems for this lesson. “Pacing is the extent to which a lesson maintains its momentum and communicates a sense of development. How much time to allocate to each part of the lesson is thus an important decision which teachers must make while planning or teaching a lesson.” (Jack C. Richards, 1997). Thus, I feel I should try the following changes in my teaching to achieve a proper pacing next time I teach a lesson: * Avoid repetitive activities (such as the ones mentioned in exercises 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 in Appendix 3); a variety of activities should be presented

In high school, we are given many standards every day that we must meet in order to be considered successful, but the reality is; these standards are fruitless in expectation for colleges and universities. In high school I did not get the English composition skills, to prepare me for my college courses. They are right about their belief that the professors in the universities are very inspired in some ways to give their standards to the students in depth knowledge to set higher standards, however, it is not good to know that some high school students still enter Americas elite schools through remedial process, because it might agitate the worldwide standards set by the school
