Teenagers and Alcohol

The consumption of alcohol in our younger generations has become a serious character issue that must be taken into account by the government and society seriously. We must demand that our government acts against this activity inmediately so the alcoholism can’t be further developed in our society. Alcohol consumption is tolerated in our society as if it were normal, but the consequences of consumption at an early age can be very serious. Me, like part of a family feel in the flesh the concern. I have at home a fifteen-year-old brother who runs the risk of being influenced to drink alcohol at any time. For me is quite disturbing the long-term consequences that can bring this action, because in our society alcohol consumption is not seen as something disturbing. That's why I make the call to our fathers, mothers, uncles, grandparents, and everyone in general who have a family like me at that age that demand more attention to the problem by our government.
In our society the consumption of alcohol has been part of our culture, but now it has become a serious problem in the abuse mainly damaging our youth. Alcohol use remains extremely widespread among today’s teenagers. “Nearly three quarters of students (72%) have consumed alcohol (more than just a few sips) by the end of high school, and more than a third (37%) have done so by eighth grade.“ (NIDA). The average age an American kid has his first drink is between eleven and thirteen years old and not only in America, but in another countries is an issue than brings severe consequences not only physical but also psychological.
