One of the few differentiating factors of a primary and secondary source is the time period. The time period in which a piece is written can greatly affect the credibility and dialogue of the script. Primary sources are often written during or close to an event or significant time in history, making the lingo and dialogue make more sense to a reader of that time period. Primary sources are also able to offer an inside perspective on things.
"Hounding the Innocent" Summary In “Hounding the Innocent” by Bob Herbert talks about how there has been more people being pulled over just so they can be humiliated by the police. The people that are being humiliated are Hispanics and African Americans but it’s really the minorities. The minorities are being stopped for no reason just so they can be seen as the “bad” people. More than 45,000 people have been stopped in 1997 and 1998. The State Police in Oklahoma humiliated an Army General Gerald for two hours and his son because they were African American.

Just think of how far someone could go just for their different skin color. It’s unbelievable and dreadful. Overall, the Ku Klux Klan is a dangerous group that should be avoided. They are non-Christian, non-Jewish, and especially non-negro.

The language of the novel is often as dense as poetry and contains highly original and interesting figures of speech; many of these are associated with the light and dark imagery. There are many examples throughout the novel but 1 universal language feature is similes. Similes are the most common figures of speech used in the novel; ‘…a hat which curved around her face like a materialising halo’.
