EXAMPLE OF A DESCRIPTIVE ESSAY ON MY ENGLISH TEACHER. Indicate a person who has had a significant influence on you. This is a tough question as there are so many people that have influenced me in some way or another. Certain people are affected by certain events or individuals that greatly change their life. If I were to choose one person, he/she would be my eleventh grade English teacher, Mrs. Ostrenko. She is an extraordinary woman who has influenced me in myriad ways. Being a teacher is not about teaching but also changing someone's life, whether it is significant or trivial. "A teacher's greatest joy is seeing his/her students have success." These are the first words that came out of the mouth of Mrs. Linda Ostrenko on the first day of class. When I do my makeup in the morning, my mirror is crispy, cold, and refreshing to the touch as I wipe the smudges of mascara off of it. Beside that is my black and white clock. I hear it tick, tock, tick, tock everyday and every night. Below my tick, tock clock is a wooden decoration. Behind me is my third wall. It’s the wall with the important things, by door, and my water bed. On top of my side table I have a sleek, silver, and clear lamp with a deep, black, round lamp shade. Next to my side table in my luxurious, comforting, come lay in me water bed! My blanket has lots of different shades of pink stripes on it.
