The A380 made its first commercial flight in 2007. Capable of flying over 8000 nautical miles without refuelling, the A380 would be ideal for long-haul passengers and freight applications. By 2009, A380 production was several years behind its contracted delivery schedule and some airlines cancelled their orders. The survival and future success of Airbus, including the employment of 52,000 people at 16 sites in France, Germany, UK and Spain, depended critically on A380 meeting its sales targets over the medium and longer term. Airbus and Boeing focus on medium and long-haul jet aircraft with 100+ seats.

In the beginning of the fall in 1982 the economy began a sixth straight mount growth due to the Economic Recovery Tax Act. This was the longest uninterrupted period of expansion since the government started keeping track in 1854.During this time fifteen million new jobs were created and just under twenty trillion dollars worth of good and services were produced.

Though this organization was successful, they were not successful enough to be in the stuck state they were in. The growth of the Levon Corporation should have been the primary focus of everyone in the company especially the management team. Even though bringing the project management consultant in to outline to the management team the importance of project management functionality was stubbornly agreed upon it proved to be the first and most important step in the company’s change process. The employees will feel their opinions are suggestions are valued as a result of the management team taking the time to hear out the consultant. The apprehension of the management team is understood because that is the culture; however, once the functionality is implemented and the management team sees the growth and positive change, the company will be more adapt to change.
Airbus management announced the first orders for the A3XX at the bi-annual Air Show in Famborough, England, in July 2000. Noel Forgeard, Airbus' CEO, reported that Air France, Emirates Airlines, and International Lease Finance Corporation had agreed to order ten, seven, and five jets, respectively, and that there were another 30 orders lined up.' The initial orders were a positive, though not unexpected, sign. The real question, however, was whether there was sufficient long-term demand to justify industrial launch. Management believed they would break even on an undiscounted cash flow basis with sales of 250 planes, and could sell as many as 750 over the next 20 years!
“Leadership involves influence, it occurs among people, those people intentionally desire significant changes, and the changes reflect purposes shared by leaders and followers” (Daft, 2008, p.5). This is reflective of John Terrill’s leadership style. John Terrill demonstrates that leadership is reciprocal. He came into the organization with the directive to make a change, and he too was not willing to maintain the status quo. In order to elicit the desired change he went to the engineers with true concern for their personal welfare.
Even though Craig is Al’s close friend, he should be fired, since as the president of the company, Al should treat every employee fairly. Al just fired an employee who tapped into the company’s computer system. The company culture values are being put to the test. Every employee is keeping an eye out on this event. If Al doesn’t take appropriate actions, employees may loss confidence working for a boss who has no principles.
Definition: Leadership styles may also be known as management styles. They are the approaches that people use when directing and motivating people to achieve a task. The leadership styles we are most interested in are outlined as follows and only bad leaders will stick to one predominant style. Good leaders will change their style according to the circumstances and situation they are dealing with: • Authoritarian This style is used when the leader wants to achieve a task quickly. S/he will just tell the team or individuals what s/he wants to be done, when to do it and even how to do it without consultation from the team members.
