Children are also closer to schools, parks, friends and soccer practice. Another advantage of the bigger city is the growing economy has a better job market with higher paying professional positions available. Young adults often choose to live in apartments, that are close to colleges, work, and to nightlife and entertainment catering to their interest, are all in walking distance. You will also find high-end specialty shops that cater to the wealthier spenders, and business professionals. The growing economy makes the cost of living more expensive, the overpriced houses are closer together, so you have very little yard to keep up with.
It has places to buy groceries and clothes although I do not shop for in Lapeer for clothing. There are two high schools, two middle schools and a number of elementary schools throughout Lapeer
I chose to attend Southwest Virginia Community College (SWCC) for a number of reasons, and here are my seven main reasons. The first reason is that it is far less expensive to go to SWCC than a regular university. Another reason is SWCC has a smaller campus than a lot of other universities. Additionally, it offers smaller classes, more personal attention, and greater student/teacher interaction. The fourth reason is SWCC’s plentiful automobile parking.
Dolly Madison was somewhat similar to Abigail Adams. Their family lives were very dissimilar. Their educational and business lives were somewhat similar. Their occupational lives were somewhat different. Dolly Madison was very different from Abigail Adams in their public life but their contributions were very similar.
This could be because Bristol has already undergone a regeneration process. This would mean that employment was quite good due to new businesses moving into the area, which would in turn lead to more money in the local economy. This is called the multiplier effect, and if a city manages to achieve it then they can be seen as successful. This could also be compared to London, as the levels of household deprivation are very similar. This could be due to the size of the city, as the population in London is huge and therefore the results are varied.
(Neuman,2005)The environmental aspects of urban consolidation is quite different with in developing the form of urban sprawl. In high density areas, there is only a few natural vegetations, which include trees and grasslands and etc, are found within the buildings, roads, and parking areas. So it makes harder for the inner suburb to have a cleaner environment without planting large amount of vegetations. To sum up, it has both problems and benefits by developing the urban consolidation but the advantages of consolidation is more convincing , making th consolidation form as a more sustainable and livable plan
Our Town V Another Town Arlington, Texas and London, England have many differences, but also some similarities. The sheer size and demand of consumer goods in the United States of America, especially Texas, is way beyond anything imaginable in England. In Texas, there is a huge amount of space and land available; everything is so much bigger than in London. When I say this I’m not just talking about bigger people or bigger malls, even basic things like the roads are larger. In Arlington; roads are twice the size of those in London, in addition, the ‘normal’ amount of lanes on a road here (2 or more) is considered a ‘dual carriage way’ in England.
In Pacific Mall, there are small mini stores located in close proximity with each other whereas in the Shops of Don Mills, they are larger and given a clear distinct impression that they are all separate. As with the layout, the stores that are available in Pacific Mall are also different from the Shops of Don Mills. The stores located inside Pacific Mall have a large range of variety, and also have a large range in price, quality, and variety. As a result of these large influxes in price, quality and variety, Pacific Mall does not have a well defined socioeconomic class as clientele. Despite both The Shops of Don Mills and Pacific Mall being quite different as shopping centers, they are still both places in which shopping, socialization, and leisure time is spent.
Orlando has 102, 40 square miles and Bogota has 612.74 square miles. Bogota is 6 times bigger in size than Orlando. This could indicate that Orlando has fewer problems in terms of traffic, organization, and population. Another difference between Orlando and Bogota is in terms of the population size. According to www.city-data.com Orlando has 238,200 people and Bogota has 8 million people.
Montreal semi-detached houses are common in older locations like Notre-Dame-de-Grace and Cote-des-Neiges. Detached houses are more common in the suburbs than in the city. Detached houses can also be called single-family homes and can still be found in less dense areas of Montreal like Ahunsic, Cartierville, Merciar, Rosemont and in the Pointe-aux-Trembles and Rivière-des-Prairies areas. More and more detached houses are being offered in a number of new developments. In January 2007, the detached houses market increased by 14% with 2,341 sales recorded on by the Greater Montreal Real Estate Board.
