In this paper, I will write about the two major cause of AIR and WATER Pollution in China, chemical pollutants in the air and industrial and agricultural waste dumped into the groundwater. Although there are other pollution problems, polluted air and water are the largest, and have become the biggest threats to Chinese people’s health. Air pollution happens when there is the presence of abnormal concentration and abnormal constituents in the air. We know that fresh air is needed for a healthy life. That is why people in China go out for morning walks so that they can breathe as much fresh air as possible because most of people feel that the morning air is better and so it is common for Chinese.
The dirty river would have caused larger problems for those in the working class that lived in cellars where contaminated water could leak in and cause health problems such as typhoid. The 1872 Public Health Act put measures into place to require local authorities to provide clean drinking water. Many of the public health
Indirect pollutants can be a lot of things, my main point is automobiles. The pollute the air by releasing unburnt fumes into the air. Beings there is so many vehicles on the roads today there is a lot of pollution. 2 The chemical with the lowest acceptable concentration is Aldrin and Dieldrin The chemical with the highest acceptable level of concentration is Chlorine 3 The water that come from our faucets comes from a well. It is softened by a water sofener and is then sent through Copper pipes to various outputs in my home.
Pollution in seasonal wetlands Wetlands are considered habitats that help trap and reduce pollutants that come from all types of sources, such as oils from cars, chemicals from drainage runoff, sprinklers that have fertilizer runoff from nearby grass located around buildings, agriculture runoff, untreated sewage from pets and human waste, and in flow of domestic and industrial wastes. Other harmful chemicals that are human related are antibiotics from animal husbandry, pesticides that act as endocrine disrupters. (Ramsar 2008) These pollution sources all contribute to the negative health of wetlands all over California. Roseville wetlands are being inundated with water pollution from many of these human related sources around them. Wetlands can only handle so much of these pollutants, and with the major habitat loss that has completely changed the dynamics of these once seasonal wetlands, can only limit the ability for these wetlands to filter as much of the pollution as possible.
Other major factors that make air pollution problem worst include: power and heat generation, the burning of solid wastes, industrial processes, and, especially, transportation. The six major types of air pollutants are carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, particulates, sulfur dioxide, and photochemical oxidants. Air pollution has been a major issue in Tehran, the capital of Iran. Three articles have been summarized, which evaluate the causes of air pollution in Tehran, the health concerns while explaining short-term and long-term remedies that the government of Iran has suggested. Air over Iran's capital is among the most polluted in the world, health experts say many Iranians suffer serious health problems as a result.
This causes a lot of trouble for the tourists who are visiting, and also discourages other tourists to follow through with their travel plans and make their way to the flooded city. However some tourists are embracing the high waters, as people are pictured on a Huffington Post web article wading and splashing around in the flooded St. Mark’s Square. But for a city thriving on the tourism industry, many fear an issue like “Acqua Alta”. Due to the flooding, the waterbuses that serve as the main transportation around the city of Venice are forced to deviate routes. This may leave people stranded and could prevent them from arriving in or leaving the city.
Public health practices in the United States have largely focused on sanitary regulations, the study of epidemics and vital statistics led to the growth of urban centers for the purpose of commerce and industry, unsanitary living conditions in closely populated areas, inadequately methods of sewerage and garbage disposal. limited access to clean water and long work hours in unsafe conditions led to periodic epidemics of cholera, smallpox, typhoid, tuberculosis, yellow fever and other diseases. These outbreaks led to demanding efforts to protect the public. Due to the outbreak of yellow fever in 1793 in Philadelphia the national capital moved out of Philadelphia, due to the outbreak this provoked the city to develop the first board of health
China has one f the highest pollution rates. This pollution from factories is put into the water, thus contaminating it. Once the water is contaminated, it can no longer be used. If there is less use-able water available it causes droughts and water shortages. This is a human factor which can easily be stopped.
Sheer numbers of vehicles though have significantly contributed to increased and detrimental levels of air pollution. In the days prior to Ford’s invention of the motorized automobile, horse and buggy was the everyday method of private transportation. Horse and buggies created air pollution (from the horse’s flatulence and waste and from the excess dust kicked up from the buggy on unpaved roads). “Aside from the disagreeable aesthetic effect created by horse manure, [and much like the carbon monoxide pollution of automobiles,] its chief impact upon public health seemed to come from wind-blown manure particles that irritated respiratory organs…” (Tarr, 1971, ¶21). Motorized vehicles traded in
Unfortunately, humans are the most polluting species on the planet. Pollution occurs at different levels and it doesn't just impact our planet; it impacts all species, including mankind, who dwell on it. We pollute water with chemicals and waste products from factories.Water pollution has led to a decrease in the number of various aquatic animals. Several aquatic life forms are on the verge of extinction. Vehicles, trains and planes emit toxic gases, creating air pollution.
