I personally say that strength is not given but earned by what you do to get others to approve your intensions. In other words, strengths and weakness depends on a personal capacity to influence the conduct of those in government. Power seems to be based on how influential or persuasive one can be. However, I also think that no matter how much the President tries to get what he wants during his term, the President will never be the most powerful man in the country. He is always sharing his power due to the checks and balances system.
n the case study of BNL on pg 228, BNL found themselves in a very tricky position. It was one if done correctly could go very well for them. The reason for why governments in developing countries sometimes are unable or unwilling to implement polices that create favorable conditions for economic growth boils down to two main reasons: social issues and political issues. Political issues are just as multifaceted as the social issues. Due to corrupt governments and regimes the lawlessness spreads throughout the developing nation like wildfire. Political issues revolve around the basic needs of a nation such as simple, yet, necessary infrastructure of schools, hospitals, septic tanks, etc. The necessity of public goods is vital for a developing country to survive, maintain, and become what we consider today, a developed country.

Human health alone is not the full extent of the problems related to genetically engineered foods. The effects that the pesticides have on our environment are also a major concern. Dangerous toxins are excreted into our water supply. That alone should be enough to raise some eyebrows, but there’s still even more. Large companies have totally neglected any responsibility to what is best for the common good, and have greedily taken advantage of our capitalist country to increase their own personal wealth at the expense of others.
As we saw in the video “Guns, Germs and Steel” with Professor Jared Diamond, we saw that the tribe’s lack of intelligence was not the case for developing more as a civilization. For example, we saw how the people of New Guinea lived. They used the resources they had around them in order to make food, clothing and weapons to help grow and succeed as a civilization. Not only this, but by having the children help at a young age made the tribe more successful in the way that everyone played a part in contributing to make their civilization stronger as a unit. Another reason that the civilizations might have not been successful could have been the weather and climate that they were to go through.
In conclusion, it can be said that crime and politics have existed in America for decades, Money, and power are both present in crime and politics. Clean energy use would be very good for the environment, it is very important to know that the planet needs a break, and it is not enough with the recycling programs that help but are not sufficient to prevent the country to continue to rely of fossil fuel, as we have done in the last 100 years. Sometimes people will not care about it because they think that by the time that the planet’s environments collapse, they will be gone for many years, it is sad but people think that
But not even President Obama’s $33 billion tax credit was not enough to substantially increase jobs in the market. To the contrary, it has gotten more difficult and complicated to keep the job market growing at a satisfactory pace. King claims ”If the Great Recession has taught us anything, it is that planning for the future by saving more and enacting policies that sustain economic growth are what will keep the American Dream alive.” Many economists believe that rather than having the resources divided among different competing groups, individuals should be giving unregulated economic freedom to selfishly improve their lot and eventually their efforts would trickle down to the rest of society. Though this thought actually worked for America for many decades, the global markets no dictate what control we have over the
