The “selling” section of Enrenreich’s book was really the turning point of the book for me. The first two sections focused on jobs that I really could not relate to, as they were random businesses in areas of the United States I have never visited. When Barbara decided to take a job at Wal-‐Mart, America’s largest private employer, I was finally able to relate to her struggles because I am very familiar with the company. After reading about the struggles both Ehrenreich and her close co-‐workers faced, I am very supportive of her decision to leave Wal-‐Mart in hopes of securing a higher income job elsewhere. The company seems to really know and understand the situation their employees are in and they definitely use that to the advantage
The first chapter was told by FiFi, the youngest sister. In the beginning she was mad about the book Yolanda had wrote. She even was on the way to the Grocery store, when she seen pictures of Yolanda posted all over the place, so she did a U-turn and drove home to give Yolanda a call. When she called Yolanda she did not answer. Which was most likely a good thing.

I think she should not move out. The advantage of her moving into an apartment; Martha can learn to take care of herself and not always counting on her parents. She will have more time to finish her homework and she don’t have to wake up so early in the morning however moving out can also be bad because there are so many bills to pay, for example she will have to pay for the gas, electricity, water, garbage day, and phone bills. And that is not all, now that she live by herself she will need to go and buy and cook her own
The store has not been able to bring in the same return on investment as the first location. One of the major problems seems to be the median household income for the new location doesn’t support the exact same business model. Kathy should have done more research on the new location to determine customer needs, income level, and population. KFF’s strategic plan was not implemented until 2003, so it appears market research was not conducted prior to expansion. The Del Mar location is at the break-even point, it appears the local economy may not be able to handle the same type of business opportunity as La Jolla.
Holden lacks of romance. Holden says throught out the book he wants to give Jane a buzz, but he ends up not calling her. He keeps on thinking about her, developing feelings for Jane but does nothing about it. “I started toying with the idea, while I keep standing there, of giving old Jane a buzz, I mean calling her long distance at B.M., where she went instead of calling up her mother to find out when she was coming home. You weren’t suppose to call students up later at night, but I had it all figured out.
I recognised she was in an elated mood, very excited and spoke in a rushed manor. This was normal for my client when on a high, however I was concerned that her family might think Ill of me for allowing her food during this important time of the year. Her family were understanding and thought best my client not have any support during Ramadan for fear of temptation. I did not think this was best practice and immediately spoke to my line manager. She asked if I could work later until Ramadan was over.
Her father was most of the time at work and when he was home he didn't bother talking much to Connie. So Connie didn't have love from him and had to find male attention elsewhere. When Connie would be her best friend, they would pretend to go the shopping plaza but would sneak across the
Not too long ago, I went to Macy’s to purchase a gift for my friend. I was having trouble reaching for the pretty top I liked for her. As I looked around for an employee, as usual there was no one around to actually help me. I started walking around to look for someone and still had no luck finding a Macy’s employee. As a matter of fact, the registers were also vacant.
