Business Communication P7 For this part of the assignment I will be explaining the different types of electronic and non-electronic methods of communicating business information, as well as explaining the different types of audiences. Everyday more and more technology is progressing, which means new ways of communications are introduced and old ones which were new not so long become old and start to fade away. When people within businesses are trying to communicate with colleagues, employees, bosses, customers, clients, suppliers or other business contacts, they have more choices of communicating information than they may realise. The most important and most obvious electronic methods are telephone/mobile devices, social networking media, email, fax, video conferencing and intranet. Telephone/mobile devices - Having these devices makes it easier and practical to reach people anywhere at any time. This type of communication can be used for staff to staff communication. Although this sort of communication is less formal than the other forms of communication, more and more people are using their mobile devices to send quick emails or text messages. As a result of this type of communication being very popular not only do business associates communicate with one another through mobile devices but also companies have started marketing to their customers through text messages, this is because it is a simpler and easier form and businesses know that customers will receive it instantly rather than waiting for post which customers may not have interest in and chuck it away. Social networking media - The use of social networking is still continuing to grow. Many businesses see social networking representing a new frontier in marketing businesses products as well as businesses themselves and also business networking.
