Electric light bulb (1875) The Electric light bulb changed the world by providing light in places where there was none and also by having the light bulb it allowed us to extend our day work longer. The light bulb also made the streets safer during the night. It effected the country because the average amount of sleep a person got in those days was 10-12 hours a night, but if you compare it to now people only average out to sleep 6 hours a night.
