Manuel Jesús Cid Salas (Salteras, Seville March 10, 1974) is a Spanish bullfighter, known as El Cid. He debuts in the world of bulls and horses in his hometown, Salteras, on February 6, 1994, cutting three ears and a tail and in the Real Maestranza in Seville on May 2, 1999, cutting off an ear. He take his alternative at Las Ventas in Madrid, on the afternoon of April 23, 2000, with the bull "Funny" from the livestock Jose Vazquez, being cheered. The godfather is David Luguillano and the witness, Finito de Córdoba. Confirmed in Bogota on February 20, 2005, with Enrique Ponce as godfatherand Paco Perlaza as witness. The last few seasons has had great success in places around the world, getting out the door four times at "Principe de la Real Maestranza de Sevilla" on 03/27/2005, 04/07/2005, 19/04/2006 and 23/9/2006, and twice through the front door of the "Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas" in Madrid on 06/03/2005 and 05/22/2006, and he was able to get out more often but for failing with the sword. In 2008 he was the winner of the "Feria de San Isidro". He has made memorable tasks to bulls of different farms, highlighting the fight of the famous livestock Victorino Martín, fighting six bulls of Victorino Martin in the bullring in Bilbao on 25 August 2007, with the artistic result of four ears that earned him to exit through the front door of this place at the shoulders of a person, which for more than six years that has not happened.
