Some people believe that an HIV-Positive person can not affect a person by means of not just having sexual intercourse. Currently, people believe that the HIV virus is a myth that can not affect heterosexual people; only because the virus was known in the beginning for only homosexually active people contracting the virus. Also, people believe that they are immune basic effects of HIV. However, on the contrary, there are effects that affect the HIV-negative community without even imbuing them with actual virus itself. The HIV virus can affect households, schools and communities physically, socially, mentally, sexually, and emotionally in more ways than one. Most of the natural effects of HIV lie in physically hampering on the immune system of the human body. The virus, a contamination through any exchange of bodily fluids from an HIV-positive person to an HIV-negative person, leads in upsurge of attacks on the; Lymphoreticular System, which consists of the “CD4+ Cells” [T-helper cells, Macrophages, and Monocytes], certain endothelial cells, and the Central nervous system [Astrocytes, Oligodendrocytes, and Neurons of the Brain]. Leading to the down fall of these systems, the bodily organs are most prone to the attack of something called “Opportunistic Diseases”. Opportunistic Diseases are known for diseases, infections [Pulmonary, Gastrointestinal, and Neurological], tumors, and malignancies (HIV/AIDS-CNN). Some examples of these opportunistic infections are pneumonia, Tuberculosis, Esophagitis, and Toxoplasmosis (AIDS Wikipedia). 90% of these opportunistic infections are fatal if not acted upon immediately. Furthermore, all of these basic systems are essential in maintaining the full defense of the human body’s immune system against anything that threatens the body’s health (HIV Wikipedia).
